14hrs I think, Im on 17hrs now and at Prestige 1 Rank 21.

You keep your Emblems, Clan tag etc, but you still have to wait until you hit that rank to be allowed to put it on your guns.

There are no Prestige Challenges like in previous titles instead they are replaced by the Lifetime challenges.

Yea took me about that time too. So for example if I prestige, when I unlock my AK74U will it have camo, emblem, attachments unlocked?

Maybe about the Camo I'll see when I get to that Rank again.. The Clan & Emblem are already unlocked for me on guns I used before Prestige. Attachments No.

First impressions:
Lag is bad, makes anything but spray-and-pray useless
Prone-diving looks downright stupid, and should be removed for that reason alone.
Graphics somehow looks "wrong", although I cant put my finger on the exact problem. (Scratch that one, It was running in lowest res)
The server browser is weird, it seems to be completely random what games it allows me to join.

I dont really have any problems with the CPU load, it distributes nice and evenly on my 4 cores at around 70-80 percent.

Ugh, prestiged, got to rank 14 or something in an hour or two, quit to change some classes and was still rank 1...

The game still has stat tracking problems or whatever it is. You will actually suffer in FPS by having a poor connection. Treyarch is workign on a fix though, sadly it might not be out until next week.

I've tried it out myself, can play just fine with 100-120 FPS on highest settings when I'm the only one using the net. When someone else here at home tries to play something my fps will drop to the 50 range, while it will have pretty much close to zero effect in other games.

Love the game itself though.

Yea it's something to do with the uploading stream of stats for that stupid live stats feed on the main menu. A public beta would have caught a stupid issue like that.

Nevertheless, the game is kinda in between CoD4 and MW2, not groundbreaking/amazing, but defo a game to stick 500h to at least.

ok i am actually getting over 1 kdrs now becasue the lag has been noticeably reduced and i have begun using the FAL which is a beast. i am a huge fan of the Garand and m14 in bc2 so im good at semi auto rifles.

also, using the strela-3 AA missile as secondary, it frees up the first perk for something other than ghost as well ans freeing up the SAM site as a killstreak.

this game is growing on me, but still has some hurdles to jump.

Nevertheless, the game is kinda in between CoD4 and MW2, not groundbreaking/amazing, but defo a game to stick 500h to at least.

While I don't think it will be as great as CoD4, I think Black Ops has the potential to be pretty close to beating CoD4. If they would fix a lot of the problems quickly, provide free DLC, etc., then it could be an amazing game.

I just unlocked the AUG and I have to say that is the best gun I have used so far in the game. I haven't unlocked the FAL yet, but I don't like using semi-autos in fast paced games like this. Although I do think the guns are excellently balanced in this game. There is no gun that just dominates the others continuously.

It's just a matter of sorting this uploading stats feed and the servers. Once the game is stable connection wise this really will be a great game.

Also, I think all the servers are dead or sumin.

Server browser is borked. It only loads a couple of servers. Once you get in and play it's fine though.

They managed to fix WaW by the few months before MW2 came out, but by then the game was already dead. I bought the game release day and couldn't play it for months because I would BSOD every time the round ended. I started playing it again when they released some of the big patches, but by then there was only a few hundred servers and only 2 or 3 were ever occupied. I doubt they will neglect this game that much though, it is too big.

hey guys, have any of you had the problem where the changes you made in combat training follow you to multiplayer? i have different names and set ups for combat training and multiplayer and when i switch to mp i get the ct set ups which really suck becasue my red dots are gone and i have tomahawks instead of nades.
really sucks becasue i have to exit all the way out to make the changes and deal with the f'ed up browser again...
