    Its fun to discuss

If the game was designed with the limit, that would be fine as well. Or if a squad could only have one of each kit in it and you have to play whatever kit hasnt been taken, might be fun, might not.

Because even in gaming people are lazy!!!! if you ask me, to see laziness even in a game where all you do is sit at a desk and press some keys while moving a mouse is sooooo pathetic!!!!!!

I'll snipe if my team is clearly winning but will go back to medic or assault if our ticket count drops too much but I'm not a sniper whore and I can;t stand those that are and do it even while their team is losing.... That's just selfish and the kicker is, they make wayyy less points than the ones at the front line

Im usually in the top 5 of my team. Of course I also tend to be more offensive of a sniper than most.

Also, being assault with a KD of 35/28 vs a sniper of 15/5 hurts a team in tickets more.

I agree with the laziness...the laziness of not throwing down ammo or med packs, reviving, covering fire, and not playing smart in a team oriented game.

That's why I advocate bringing that bolt action to the front lines.

Always aim for the head in close encounters, a strong pistol and some C4s and you can go head to head against any enemy.

Skirmish, not going hardcore on the frontlines.

Not true. If you can snipe well from distance you can rack up points because of the extra marksman points you get.

Realistically, VERY VERY FEW people can do this.

I've only seen maybe 10 BF2 snipers that can accurately pick off people constantly on Wake Island.

yea but BC2 sniping is much easier. i think it's the easiest game to snipe, hence that's why you see so many wookies.

many of my best rounds were also while sniping too. with mortar, you can easily be racking up points without much skill too. add recon balls and you can easily outscore other players.

Yep, I wasn't a very good sniper in BF2142, but in BC2 it isn't that difficult. And you have to love when you headshot someone that is on a stationary gun and they go flying through the air like a rag doll.

Actually it's not easier to use sniper rifle in BC2 considering there's now bullet drop and the time the bullet travel to take in account (except if you were using the M95 in BF2) but the battle are much more focused and more sniper friendly, put a map like Atacama rush second part in BF2 and I'm sure there would be a lot of snipers. In BF2 I remember pulling quick scoping at far target on Karkand with the M24 really easily too.

Yes, there is the drop and travel time. But, I think the hit boxes are a little more generous.

Anything is possible once you've given the time and effort. Sniping, no matter what game, is the same.

Difficulty of Sniping throughout the latest BF games IMO

                          Easy --------- Hard
                          BF2 - BC2 - BF1942

One of the golden rules of playing these kinds of games is to NOT try to play too far outside your classes capabilities. If I'm recon it's usually when my team is dominating and I want to sit back and give the other team a chance HOWEVER, unlike a lot of you idiot players who think it's cool to be a sniper, I SPOT, I USE MOTION SENSORS TO HELP MY TEAM, and I drop arty to ASSIST MY TEAM and not just to kill the other sniper who is trying to get me

the recon class is soooo misunderstood and could be used soooo effectively but time and time again I see so many people just sit as far away as possible from all the action trying to pick people off only to miss shot after shot.

Yesterday I was on an arica harbor conquest server and my team was totally dominating so players on the other side kept leaving. The next round I switched over and told the team that I was switching to help them out and to not let me down. So what do they all do??? Every single player on my team was recon and obviously could not take or hold a flag. I was the only one trying to break through the other teams defenses without the help of motion sensors, spotting or arty. I got so frustrated I switched back to the other team and then after 2 full rounds of them getting their asses handed to them and me typing incessently about how they are losing because all they are using is the recon class, they finally started using medic and assault.

It surprises me that it took those guys about 5 rounds in total to realize that sniper class is useless when the other team is holding all the flags and has you boxed in. Why are you people so damm stupid??? Don't you get it??? Or are you all just a bunch of punk ass kids who think that snipers are cool? Maybe they're cool in the movies but not in BC2.

That kinda gets me too and I think you nailed it Akula. People just dont want to switch kits. They think they have to play a certain way and only that one way. They dont change to the situation. I will change classes like crazy sometimes and even guns if the class changing doesnt work.

A great example; I was on panama canal and I was getting beat bad. No matter what kit I used I was being killed by armor or soldiers. Finally I switched to engineer again and switched my RPGs for mines. I threw mines down and the armor was blowing up like crazy. Because the armor was out of the picture I was able to focus on the soldiers and ended up breaking even that game and lost the round. I know that doesnt sound like a victory, but we were getting stomped and my team never really tried anything else. We deserved to lose the round, but I didnt deserve the negative K/D. If I didnt try so many other things first, who knows, we may have won. Doubltful though, that team was bad
