looks like the beta is being released as the final, without any new fixes...
i guess you can call it a successful beta test? lol

Thanks to those who did take part in the Beta and thanks for the feedback. We haven't had any major crash issues reported or server instability so we are going to go with releasing the Beta version as Final. Those who installed the Beta won't need to download or update anything to play v1.51.

However the server providers will be getting the server files during this week and setting their machines up with the new version.

The official release will be announced on the Blog when the RSP's have set up their servers. Current release schedule will be for end of this week/early next week depending on how soon the server providers can get updated.

I'm happy, as long as servers are stable, with new content and no CD required...i'm in love!

i haven't tested the latest betas. are servers much more stable and is server crashing history?

other than titan destruction by UAV, some map weirdness/glitchiness in karkand, and nades not exploding sometimes on the new maps, there haven't been any other bugs reported by the masses so i guess its good to go.

when I played the beta they were not full, so I couldn't tell you much about the stress load. I also never managed to participate in the closed beta stress test. But I would hope so, there is the squad beacon glitch which can crash servers. Hate that, the haters would always do it on our servers. Grrr made me mad. And also rcon exploit which apparently got fixed. So if they fixed those two and improved on the server coding. I think we should be good to go.

Bf2 had issues with exploits as well but servers, like ours, always stay full and never crash (maybe once every few days which is nothing compared to 2142) so I would imagine this patch will improve it big time *cross fingers*

Just letting you guys know we have two servers running 1.51 before it becomes mandatory

Suez and karkand are both running you can download the 1.51 patch here
