I re-installed with 1 - 1.4 - 1.5 - 1.51 and still DTap sprint does not work. Could someone who is registered on the EA forum raise this issue on my behalf.

FFS can no one just type a few ****in words onto a forum. If anyone needs a favour don't ask me....

...seems indicative of the 2142 community. In the last few days I've noticed how the field is all about every man for himself now. No squad play, no one will throw down a medic box or ammo crate unless you spam messages in their face for 20 minutes, no one will stop to give you a lift when asked, cheaters, glitchers, constant kick votes and half your team stood on the gunship pad TK'in each other to get in the gunship.

WTF - surely it wasn't this bad even a few months ago.

You probably just happend to run into a bad group. The issue of double tap sprint has been raised in the EA UK forums, the ones where developers actually reply to you and whatnot.

Yeah maybe the people who patched to 1.51 are all asshats! I only have 2-3 servers to choose from and run into the same names since 1.51.

To cheatin/glitchin assholes called den1980 and his boyfriend N.Klinghammer (spelling)?

I was slaughtering this den1980 in the pre-round the other day and he eventually started a kick vote against me and because his bumchum was the only other player (tkin aswell) the kick worked. No problems, put a smile on my face. Later I joined again when some more people were playing.

On B@R round started and I set up a vehicle trap at the west bridgehead to prevent break outs. A guy comes flying through and avoids the trap on lane 1, abandons his FAV and tries to get a speeder. I pilum'd the speeder so he jumps back into his FAv and flies off. I get a speeder and wait for the flag to change to give away his position. Home in and TV missiled his ass. It was this Klinghammer guy. Was retaking the flag when the server crashed - coincidence?????

Rolls into Bavaria and the round gets going. Within about ten minutes people are moaning about someone cheating. I find someone glitched into a building by a flag. Jumped out of the walker to take the bullet and see who it was. Who else, den1980. Quit the server.

Playing B@R again. In the pre-round killed this guy called HeinzUSA about 10 times. Round starts and I go commander, riding in the Goliath. This HeinzUSA guy is trying to destroy the commader assets with a speeder. I keep Orbital'in him dead. He starts throwin up kick-votes but no one pays attention to him. He then rage-quits. A few minutes later he's back but this time on my team. When the Goliath respawns he jumps in and then just sits there so no-one can use it. Whatever, I jump in and just carry on commanding. He eventually gets bored and jumps out. I accidentally plasma gun him in the back ;D. Then again with the kick votes. Relentless until the end of the round. I can almost feel his hot salty tears coming through my monitor. I see that guys name up all the time either trying to kick vote or being kick voted!

Playing on Highway Tampa last night. Had an easy win as EU so I thought I'd switch to PAC for a change. Round starts and I'm off capping. After awhile I notice we are getting capped out, the caps I am getting falling as fast as I can take them. I look at the scoreboard, of the 15 or so players on my team only I and one other guy have actually got any points. I look at the map to see where people are and practically all of them are stood in the air compound. I check again a few minutes later and the bottom 8 players have all got negative scores by this time.

Having a good game on Karkand last night when I get the server disconnect. Can't get back onto the servers. Then all the servers disappear. Tried again later and can't connect to EA server at all. Still can't today. Makes you wonder why we F'bother sometimes.

As for the sprint issue. Yeah I noticed one person had mentioned it on page1 but the DICE guy had not addressed it and it will likely be overlooked otherwise. It may be something I am doing but I can't recall ever having this issue before.

I will try another uninstall, patch to 1.4, NS, 1.4, 1.5, 1.51.

try trashing your controls config file... maybe that will fix it.

Trashing your config files does nothing..

Thanks for posting it on the EA forum although I note no one has addressed it. That is what I ****ing hate about DICE, well not just DICE it's practically every corporation in the world - they will only tell you things that they think you want to hear.

sadly, the only thing baza seems to be really responding to is the novint falcon crap which like only .5% of gamers own... seems like that's the only thing he's interested in getting to work.

I've taken the plunge and registered on EA forums to see if I can get to the bottom of it.

No, I think you have misunderstood. That's just a demonstration of the strange silence that emanates from any corporation nowadays when they don't have something positive to say about an issue. No actual conversation took place.

As another example, the whole lead up to the patch. We would get comments every now and then like, a new patch is coming, we've fixed this in the new patch, beta testing has started, coming soon.. but the silence would be deafening when you asked them a simple question like what stage the patch was at and how long it would take.

I mean who knew that from the date it was rumoured it would take 2 years to actually arrive.

Exactly. Two years for the patch, then it breaks stuff, more maybe breaks stuff, and no one around to confirm if its a bug or something that was changed.

Adds to the frustration level for sure.
