the game plays too arcadish for me. and where's the recoil?
couldn't hit crap with RPG, i guess i'm too used to splash from BC2 but yeah it seems like there's virtually no splash now?
i don't think i'll be buying this game, if i wanted to play this kind of game, i'd rather play MW or MW2 since they do a better job.

i still stand by my opinion that it's very much like combat arms!!!

No recoil can be explained by it being a beta. Thats what betas are for.

If they came out and said the lack of recoil is due to the beta i would be ok with it. But right now it looks terrible.

well to be fair, there is tiny bit of recoil but not enough to be noticeable. if this kind of game interests you, you are better off playing MW as it is still superior to this game. of course they can improve on the game a lot but seeing how BC2 beta went, i wouldn't get my hopes up.

I believe the point of the picture is very apropos of the thread. It depicts three different games that essentially look exactly alike or have the same bloody camera feature and isn't this thread about how MoH is very similar in many aspects to both CoD and BC2.

I lean to MoH looks like a CoD ripoff.

These videos are starting to look lame but I just can't tell as some of it could be the player. These games where you have to use iron sights and scopes to run around and kill people are just dumb. The entire "from the hip" stuff is annoying and who ever came up with that is an idiot. People don't run around shooting through scopes and sights and any game that promotes it fails at gameplay.

Finally managed to get the beta working. My first impressions are basically the same as everyone else. Movement is very sluggish, worse than BC2. The PC version is a sloppy console port. When you get a score chain, a d-pad pops up showing you which button does what. Last time I checked there was no d-pad on a keyboard. The server browser is horrible. I can't even explain it in words. You have to spam the join game button, you can't scroll through the menu, sort, or basically do anything but look at the first 8 or so results. They obviously haven't even used the browser. I know it's a beta but the browser looks like it was thrown together 5 minutes before they released the beta (and in fact, it was confirmed by the DICE community manager that they hadn't made a server browser and just threw one together). Half of the keys can't be binded without a CTD, again showing it was last minute thing.

Anyway, once you get in a game things go a bit smoother. As I said, the movement is really sluggish. The weapons have no recoil (nothing better than being headshotted from across the map by an AK-47 full-auto). Hitboxes are still horrible, despite them saying they were new and improved. Grenades, GLs, and RPGs have NO splash damage, and you have to literally throw/shoot the explosive in their mouth if you want to kill them. I'm also disappointed by the destruction. I don't know whether it has to do with the explosives being weak, but you can shoot countless rockets into a wall and it still stands strong. But you can shoot through the wall just fine.

I'm sure most of these major things will be fixed. They seem to be in every thread on the official forums :P . There are tons of minor problems fast these though that kind of ruin the game. The game has tons of potential IMO, but they have a lot to fix. Good thing this beta is so early

****ing access denied @ MOH beta login. I use the same account I use for BC2 online gaming.
I guess EA won't let people from China participate in the beta?
