This new patch has really borked it for me. I have no desire to snipe anymore with my red dot + M95 etc being completely useless now. My G3 has been wrongly toned down as has my M16. There is no assault weapon other than the AN94. Cant stab anyone to save my life (literally) anymore with the once stupidly OP knife now becoming something even skill doesnt have a say in.

This game has just seriously hit rock bottom for me recently.

The M16 is garbage now. I use to get sweet long distance kills with it but now i can barely kill 1 guy at mid distance with a full clip. G3 is only good up close, can't hit anything with that awful sight. The thompson feels a bit more powerful after the patch though. I hate that the M1 still doesn't record kills. Knifing a guy 4 times and getting killed without getting the kill is getting old. Gustav whoring is getting annoying too.

I just don't have that urge to play, like i did with 2142.

agreed, im just sitting here waiting for 2143 or bf3 now...might even reinstall 2142, but gametracker says only like 200 servers exist

I'm in the same boat, this game has nowhere near the expansiveness and possibilities BF2 has, it gets very repetitive very fast...........its completely linear where as BF2 is just the opposite.

For some reason this game just doesnt come near the epic and fun of battlefield 2142 and 2. Maybe its the mods

The thing that makes me not want to play is, that it's rare to find a server where i can have good games. By that i mean, 1 team not always being 1 sided and full of snipers that refuse to attack the objective or take a flag. It's a rare occasion where both teams are actually working as a team for more than 2 rounds in a row.

I don't know what you are all talking about. I play every day and have done so just about since release. I love the game. Admittedly, the game would benefit greatly from the release of a bona fide map pack with at least three maps that are available for all modes. Other than that, I'm good.

I wish I could find some witty picture but meh.

There are other Sniper Rifles that do well with a Red Dot hell I still use them they fun for clan matches, AN94 might be flavour of the month but there are still worthy adversaries that you should try. If I told you there wouldnt be any fun in it. :p

I stopped PC Gaming for over a year sooo I have the desire to be glued to my PC for long periods of time, kinda glad I did have a "small" break.

i think its funny.. everyone knows that its a bug so when they creep up on someone they have a choice, pistol, main gun, GL, CG, defribs but no, they have to use the only thing thats broken and wonder why they get killed... then moan about it lmao.. so next time you creep up on someone, put a whole cilp in his back, you`ll walk away smiling lol

I've been extremely busy because of school, preparing my recital in a few weeks, and having the flu (), but even when I have found some free time I really haven't felt like playing like I used to either. I think a lot of it is the patch, though. :|:

I am in the opposite situation. I am in my last quarter of school (can't wait to graduate!) and I saved all the easy classes for last, and I am single now, so I have lots more spare time to play!

Some deterrents for this game:

1) An94...Yawn?
2) Team Stacking and people leaving immediately after they loose a game
3) Rubber knife
4) Camping (a lot of this lately)
5) Team of recons.

If anyone needs me, I'll be in 2142 under name Amaranthen :)
