I miss prone. It's the first thing one is taught in learning military manuevering. "Get DOWN!" is repeated so often that it just becomes second nature.

I just use the Ctrl key right next to my Jump key. My thumb is way better at this sort of thing than my pinky.

The ability to go prone would have killed this game. Snipers would have been almost godlike.

Bah, they weren't godlike in BF2 and the sniper was pretty accurate since it was a railgun (except M95). Sure there was the fog and the ghillie suit didn't helped that much but when I snipe in BC2 I don't expose much of my body anyways, and hide between shots if needed. Note that others classes could also go prone and hide better. I'm sure it would have worked.

The sniper rifles in BC2 are far more accurate and harder hitting than the ones in BF2, thus snipers would be an all powerful dispenser of unseen death.

I thought I was the only person who mapped my keys this way. Except I use A for enter/exit vehicle and C for crouch. This setup makes sense for me because it doesn't crowd your hand at the end of the keyboard and gives you more usable keys.

I use WERD for movement, which just feels a lot more comfortable being a 10 finger typer. A for jumping and Space for crouch since it's that important to be able to crouch often and painless.

I must be weird, I use my thumb to crouch on LEFT CTRL.

It's weird: the left Alt button is next to my space bar, not the Ctrl one.

I have the keyboard in my picture above. It's a MERC Stealth, and has a "gaming" setup on the left side. If you look just to the right of JUMP/SPACE, you'll see the Ctrl key on the "normal" side of the keyboard. I use either that or C to crouch. In this game I just left it at Ctrl. In games with prone I usually have C as crouch and Ctrl as prone. I can just dance my thumb across all three to do whatever it is I want to do. And it leaves my four fingers for any weapon selection, movement, or sprint.

I don't see anywhere that it says pwrby has this keyboard? We can see your picture.

Nope, unless at close range with magnum ammo it's 1 bullet in the head and 2 in the body, exactly the same as BF2. As for the accuracy, the only thing that prevented you from sniping at extreme distance was the fog, the sniper rifle in BF2 didn't have any bullet drop and thus was more accurate.
