We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
yea the mortar strike is a very effective weapon that has many uses. to flush out baddies holed up in buildings or just downright bring down the building. or use against groups of snipers hiding somewhere, or take out camping armors. when i spawn as recon, i try to use the first one quickly and then do something else while it recharges. then keep spamming it every minute and while i'm still not getting as many kills as i'd like, having access to this "unlimited artillery" is pretty handy.
The 'press Knife to win' button is more annoying than the recon class. You can knife people from 2 meters away while you're being shot. Bull ****!
It's very easy avoid being knifed in the game. I hardly ever get killed by someone running at me with a knife: just side step, back up, and open fire. 1v1 knife battles are pretty easy too... just keep side stepping until they get dizzy.

This. You don't realize it if you're always unobservant and playing assault.
no I agree, I actually like that there are a good number of medics, I thought that before the game was released it might be unpopular (an aquaintance of mine who has the PS3 version whines that there are no medics on it lol)
Snipers are annoying, but so are noobtubers, chopperwhores etc.
So far I have been able to handle them, but some maps may be worse than others.
The thing that annoys me most about the Recon class is that the Ghillie suit makes them all look alike, regardless of what team they are on.
That is a problem when you are suddenly facing a Recon and don't have time to look for a name, of for that matter decide if the name is over their head or belongs to someone fighting a mile back.
Apparently all Recon should be shot on sight.
It's the new rule on the battlefield: check for friendly fire; if off: fire at all wookies at all times.
See. I will explain again. Its hard to just "go" and find that one lone sniper sitting in the bushes when theres 10 more of them waiting for you. Heh not only that, but lets not forget that if you manage to find some cover from the annoying bastard's you get bombarded by mortar rounds.
I don't care who you are on this forum, but there is no skill in sniper. The class is a camp class, and it really is the most annoying class in the game. The other classes can all be fought. I've not had a single issue with the rest of the classes. I am just sick of running along and having 3-4 snipers firing at me from all different points of the maps. Like one guy said in this thread, its bad when you're entire squad you join is a damn sniper perched on some hill. I spawned on one guy today who was still in our main base sitting atop a rock. Today I played sniper for a bit, and just to prove how easy it was, I went 10 and 0 for the round. Snipers don't have to win rounds, and believe me even if they do capture a base how lame is being picked off from 2-3 feet away by some idiot firing it unscoped.

10/0 isn't a good score. That's around 500 points if they were all normal kills. Minus a few tenners. Your argument is invalid. And perhaps you don't have to try and kill them, let them enjoy their horrible score. Yes they're a camp class but so is Engineer cause they have Mines! zomg!
If you hate snipers this much just get a server and ban all of them. Problem solved.
I don't need to ban them all. Its an annoying class. 10 and 0 is a 500 point score? Funny I came out with 1900.. Like I said I captured flags, and got several assist. I've seen snipers with much better scores then I, but still 10 and 0 is a great k/d ratio it just proves that no one for the entire round killed me. I camped in my main base for a big portion of the round, and towards the end I moved up some and even captured a undefended base. Like I've said sniper is annoying and over played. It wouldn't be such a bad class if there were one or two of them running around, but when there is 32 players on a game, and 22 of them are snipers, it tends to get outta hand.
Sniper simple has to many things at its disposal, for it to not be played. That is why so many people play it, its easy and to some people they get all excited by sitting in a bush some where with a sniper a mile away from battle, and shooting at unsuspecting people. Dieing to a sniper sucks, but to be shot by a sniper while in a fire fight, and die to the a guy you've almost finished off, is even ****tier. Dieing to a sniper may suck ***, but dieing to 8 of them all shooting at you sucks just as bad!
I played recon today for the first time, and i have to say i like it. I didnt camp on the border of the map, but i sneaked behind enemy lines, and provided my squad with a very close to their base spawn point. Combine the ability to sneak behind enemy lines with improved spotting, motion sensors and mortar strikes, and you have the recipe for a top squad award. I think the majority of snipers are the camping type, but i tend to play recon in a total different way.
As for your troubles with camping snipers, you can
A: Choose recon, and counter snipe.
B: Be lucky and nab the UAV, MG and hellfire them to death.
C: Use kill cam wisely and flank to their last known position.
D: SPOT SPOT SPOT (It amazes me how many people do not spot. Hell you get points for it) This at the least gives you a marker for where they are at while you are under cover. It helps me keep track of the sneakky bastards.
E: Exit game, and try another server.
I think your problem is not how many snipers are there; but the fact your team doesn't counter them effectively and that's hard to find in a pub.
10 kill at maximum range with headshots would be 500 for the kills, 50 for the headshots, 500 for the marksman headshots, 100 for kill streak of 6 and 200 for kill streak of 8 ; so 1350 points for recon. KDR is meaningless if you end up losing the rounds, it's worth nothing. You'd get more points out of wounding enemies and letting your team mates getting the kill aided by the motion sensor; that way it's 30 for a critical wound assist, 20 for the motion mine, and you'd get 100 for each kill assist pin, plus the motion sensor pins.
1900 isn't a high score for a round; try around 4k for a really good round with any of the other classes; that's where recon are punished, they don't get to score a lot unless they choose an AR or shotgun and go get in the fray. Granted, ina bad round you can score low, less than 1k; but assault, medic and engineer have a higher chance of scoring well into the 2 thousand for a normal round.
