ROFL... you must not play any game that has come out in the last year. I can't recall when any game recently worked flawlessly the first WEEK of release. America's Army 3 was a mess, as was Modern Warfare 2. Enough said about MW2. MW2 is still a mess, and IW has had since November to fix it.

i was there for MW2 release day and it DID NOT have 1/10th of the problems EA BC2 servers are having. have you tried to play BC2 online? it doesn't work most of the time. don't let your fanboysim "misremember" things.

Just found out my game did not update itself so I had to manually update. No wonder the f*cking server browser was empty, and no wonder I didn't have the FOV setting in my .ini file. Now the servers are down for maintenance. Maybe I'll get to play by April. :)

Wow I feel bad for you pc guys, which I used to be until my psu went out on my gaming rig, for all the problems you are having from the pc version. I had to settle with the ps3 version and luckily haven't had any problems with it.

Oh, and the PS3 version was down for a while today, too. At least that's what some of the DICE guys said. The X360 was mostly unaffected.

yea if you heard about 1943, PS3 guys had a lot of problems with connectivity, so i doubt this will be a PC only problem... so you can stop your "happy to be a consoler" dance stilla. lol

Don't get me wrong I am still a PC gamer at heart and I never said I was a happy consoler lol. I am still getting used to using the controller to play instead of a mouse and keyboard.

steam issue that happens every now and then. Restarting steam fixed it for me the one time it occurred to me.

I say again; this is not new for a BAttlefield/EA launch. It's not what we should expect obviously, but then again, it was like this for every other BF title on the first month. Also keep in mind PS3 and XBOX use their own servers, they just use the EA master for login; XBOX live has a better infrastructure but that's expected since they charge you monthly to use, and even Live has been brought down on major releases; Halo 3 comes to mind.

I had that when I tried to run BC2 as admin but not Steam. If this isn't what you're trying, do the suggestions listed in Corvic's link.
