We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
Meh I call it quits, I'm realizing game won't ulock before 24 hours, so I won't be able to play before 5 pm tomorrow anyways. Still going to report here when IF I get a preload up.
It's not right to have people test something that can cause serious problems--
People volunteer to test it. Granted Steam could use a better warning about possible consequences of using beta software and what it might do to your dog.
That's the point of what I'm saying. Sure, it's subjective, but I'm sure the general consensus would be that it's not okay to have someone test something that was seemingly safe but could actually kill them(As an example), even if they did have to consent to it, but not knowing the severity of what could happen.
I still haven't decided if I want to stay old sckool with requiring the DVD in the drive to play, it's not clear if you get unlimited activations that way or if you still have to uninstall the game to "de-activate" an install.
I think its all these things affecting Steam people:
1. Hard copies being sold breaking street date.
2. Most other digital download vendors have already done the pre-download.
3. Steam is not updating much about it and staying quiet in the forums.
It makes people antsy that all these others are doing it and some are even playing and they cant.
Steam & preloads - Still working on it. We are fixing some silly configuration errors with the Steam version right this minute. Given that we are trying to make the game release in the US in about 2.5h preloading for that region will make a minimal difference, but if possible we'll do it for regions with a later release date.
Looks like the two dropped the ball. They waited to look at this a few hours before the scheduled release?

I figured it was gonna be faster to get the game online with steam than going to a store to get it. WHRONG!!!

looks like there is a lot of ppl with the same probleme here... i wonder how much money steam lost with refunds??
