don't mind jake. i think it's that time of the month for him. he occasionally comes here and goes off on everybody for no reason. just be understanding of his personal issues. oh and DO NOT mention the word REALISM or he'll really explode. that's one of his pet peeves.

I just think it's funny that jake called us liars and idiots, then DICE released a patch that includes this in the notes:

Its a pretty long thread, but I don't recall anybody being called liars, even when Rambo claimed to have been probed by Aliens.
The point that got lost in the flamewar was that personal experiences does not count much as evidence, because they are very subjective.
You need hard proof like that BF2 video or a way for others to reproduce the problem.

I haven't played the new patch yet but I'm skeptical TBH...they claimed to have improved hit detection in BF2 1.5 and it ended up making it worse for me. Hopefully it doesn't follow suit with BC2.

Well it definitely seemed to be better, but I still didn't think it was up to par with the Xbox version.

I would like to point out to the admins reading this thread how many times I have been personally attacked in this thread, yet I only have been setting forth reasonable arguments grounded in logic. I haven't been calling anyone a liar or insulting anyone.

Is it such a sin to be a skeptic? Not everyone likes to jump on the bandwagon these days.

There is no flamewar, at least not one I'm participating in. There was merely johnrondot obfuscating and ignoring the questions I raised.

The first is a play on a quote by WC Fields "If you can't razzle them with dazzle, baffle them with ********." I wasn't insulting him, I was saying that his responses to my questions were "BS" probably not the best choice of words, but his replies were still nonsensical and not addressing my questions. So I stand by that.

Fallacious isn't an insult either, it means he replies contained a fallacy, and illogical conclusion, which they most certainly did (you can't argue with logic!).

I stand by that as well.

I'm not arguing about whether there were hitreg issues in BF2, I clearly stated that. I merely pointed out that a) you have no proof of hitreg issues in BC2 and b) suggested that there were actual hitreg issues that you were experience (and not something else) that every player would be experiencing them equally, in which case you wouldn't be disadvantage in gameplay.


Edit: FURTHERMORE, I never said anyone was a liar, I said that there were issues with the OP arguments. A liar wouldn't believe his arguments. There were just issues in them that I wanted to address and question. It's a pretty significant distinction, in my humble opinion. Ultimately I'm not saying that "hireg is perfect in BC2" either, if you don't see that, reread my initial posts before we got off on this name-calling tangent.
