I just dont see it. I thought 1942 was good. I didnt love it. When I went to Vietnam I was wowed. Then BF2 was good, but I didnt love it. Then I was wowed in 2142. With the effects and sounds of bc2, I am wowed again.

Why is bf2 wow? Was it the first modern game out? I think it was. Was that the "wow" factor?

The reason I was wowed about it was b/c of the persistent stats. I am a stat ho. I was wowed by Black Hawk Down as well b/c of the stats.

BFBC2 is just an other marketing hit, BF3 will come out sooner or later. Why would you bother playing bad company if its going to be the same modern warfare all over again.

only bf3 will truly replace bf2. where else would people go for spammy grenade and proning 64 player urban infantry action or spawn-air rape-spawn-air rape-spawn-air rape action? the game has so much variety that i doubt bc2 will replace that awesomeness of bf2.:salute:

I usually play on 20-30 player servers. Fushe pass is my favorite map, but I also play Dragon valley and Daqing.
And air rape... well It doesnt happen too much, I know where to hide.

I wouldnt be surprised if we dont see BF3 until late 2011 -or even into 2012

I would suggest you play BC2 before you make an assessment such as it is the same as MW (I assume you are referring to the CoD franchise, of course).

BC2 seems like a decent game, but nothing new/very interesting to the industry by any means.. all the new 'revolutionary' stuff like dest 2.0 really does not play a big role in the game at all, its just another FPS I will put down after a month or two and not want to play again. Bf2, from the day I bought it is a game that I still play weekly (all be it PR) thats what gives it the wow factor, it was just so different and so fresh at the time, nothing has topped it at what it has done so far, and I doubt anything will for a long time, BC2 certainly does not.

I hope DICE proves me wrong, but I get the feeling its going to be one big cockup for the PC side..

i think he's talking about modern warfare, not the COD game but the time setting where the game takes place.

I don't believe it can replace BF2 because of it's mod community which is enormous. What I think is that sadly most of the players (children is what I mean) will come from CoD franchise which is total difference of BF2 but not that much to BC2. And this wil probably ruin the public servers to people that will come directly from BF2 and if they wont expirience any mature matches that will be realy hard to find compared to BF2 they'll just go back on BF2. There's a bit of hope I see in when old fellas from BF2 will try this new game and because they won't like all that children fraging crazy around them they'll go try BF2 once more which might even renew itself because of that.
