We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
Who cares about the bullets? Honestly all I ever died from in the beta were M203's even if the enemy was 5 feet from me. They just need to be removed from games, or completely reworked, period.
Yeah, sure. And once that is removed you'll be killed by the repair tool, always. So let's remove it as well.
And while we are at it. Let's just remove everything that could be hurtful. I mean, this is Battlefield, but whatever.

Good argument.
My point is, in almost every game - BC2 included (and MW/MW2 being the shining examples) - M203's are just an easy excuse for a kill. They are implemented into games with real-world damage but, being an arcade game, they are not necessarily used "properly." So, like I said, either remove them (which would solve those issues) or rework them (i.e., they don't arm unless they travel for more than 15 feet, splash radius increases as it travels, etc. to discourage CQB use). Don't be absurd.

The real M203 doesn't arm the grenade until its traveled 15 feet for friendly fire safety. I think.
This really depends. If you have to blast away at a static target for 15 rounds it just makes gameplay awkward, not harder...
I think it's a decent balance as it is. It does take more rounds to kill an enemy at full health, but not too many. BF2142 was almost too little (often just 3-4 clean shots to take someone out with the Baur)
i like the 2142 way better, and i thought even that game had low damage. i just am not a fan of having to shoot a guy a lot to kill him, plus i think it adds to the realism.
do console fps games usually require a lot of bullets to kill?

It would make a lot of sense to make that a "rule." Either that or give it the power of a 500 ton bomb so you won't use it in CQB.
I have been doing a bit of NoobTubing with the Carl Gustav lately, and that is instant suicide if you don't keep a certain distance. It think it should work the same way with the GL. Either that or reduce the damage to 1/3 until it reaches its arming distance.
Lets hope the server options allow you to add Hardcore mode, but put Spotting/Minimap back into it. I love the bullet damage in that as compared to the core gameplay bullet damage.
