guys, are you able to see pings in numbers? it doesn't show server pings in the server browser and once you're in the server, pings aren't shown anywhere...
also it'd be nice to see some sort of healing indicators for when you're healing yourself to see if you how much longer you need to heal or you're at full health.
need to disable those intro splash movies... I KNOW its from DICE/EA i don't need splash logos everytime i play the game.
often times, i have no idea which direction is the frontline. people are running towards different directions, so it should be more clear.
So far it seems the only way to see your in-game stats (including ping, kills, deaths etc) is if you have a G15 keyboard, i'd imagine any logitech keyboards with a screen on will work though.
Yes the movies can be annoying, but it's not really an issue or bug with the game or beta. It's just something everyone has to bear until it's been figured out how to disable intros using a program (like in bf2), or just by manually editing a config file
I do agree mostly with your last point about the frontlines, sometimes it is possible to get disorientated. A 'North' dial on our minimaps would be great and could help. Generally i just open my map to check i'm going the right way
So far i'd say it's pretty awesome for a beta. Yes it can be laggy at times, but its probably just as much related to the servers and the amount of people playing all of a sudden rather than your ping. I played on servers close to me and servers in the U.S last night, and while speaking to others on TS we all seemed to notice lag happening at the same time, even if we weren't on the same server. So far after first impressions I'd like to see the ability to call for resupply guys or medics added in, a north added onto the mimimap, and the friends system fixing. By the way, has anyone got their friend requests through yet even? None of mine seemed to be getting through last night
For anyone having trouble joining a server just keep trying through the play now button, you'll get in eventually sometimes i just takes a few tries
You don't need a G15. I don't have one.
You can see your ping before you join a game. Once you've been in some servers you can view your history at the bottom right of the main page. The LAT column is Latency, otherwise known as ping.
I accidently pushed to talk and it worked.
Yeah, I pushed and then talked.
Just pushing will let you talk in VoIP.

just had a round or two, family is whoring the network atm so connection isn't stable
the map seems nice and the graphics, ran very well on 1680x1050 and all on high, took a while to adjust given that I was used to the bright open beta map, but the guns felt good and I enjoyed it
although Dice needs to change the weapon numbering, 2 for primary is bad, or whatever the hell they use
the effect when you get shot, where your gun jerks up, not sure how I feel about it yet, I was assault shooting some medics, killed a few and the last one saw me and just proceeded to lierally hold fire while I was putting well placed shots, I got hit, gun jerks up, don't have a clue if that means my aim moves up or what, luckily the tosser got a tank shell lodged in his face that saved me in time, but will need to look at how all the shooting works on PC further, seems like the ps3 beta was ages ago
The only issues I have so far would the FoV being too small and the lag issues, which DICE has said was being worked on. Game optimization also needs work seeing as how a lot of people seem to be having issues with frame rates, but again, it is beta, so you can't expect the world.
Overall, it has a very good potential and I expect that the full release will be top notch.
