We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
Your own sounds from weapons and walking etc sound a bit muffled. Overall it sounds awesome though.
Bit sad there is no option for toggle crouch and scope... I like to hold down rmb to aim down the sights.
And as has been said the FOV is absolutely ok, but a bit small. There's a whole bunch of people talking about it on the EA UK forums so hopefully it's something DICE will consider.
When playing on defualt settings game looks awesome, I get choppy framerate during firefights, and a ton of CTD, but the game is definetively playable; I suspect chopyness comes from fragmented HDD as I haven't done one in over 4 months.
I'll try upgrading to the latest nvidia drivers tonight after defragging my HD; but my guess is on low textures settings I'd get acceptable an dplayable frame rates.
Plus everybody is trying to log in right now, I'll report in a couple of days; it looks comparable to the PS3 version on default settings at 1440*900, not difficult to spot enemies at all.
Nicely programmed engine so far, let's wait til the ugly bugs and exploits start showing themselves. But it's on par on fun factor with BF2142, definetively fast paced but not arcadey like Modern Warfare; you can play tactical or head on, tough no one is going to be racking up a ton of kills against medium level players unless lag is a factor.
It's rather satisfying to aim and have your bullets connect, no dodgy hitboxes so far.
Let's not just criticize and report bugs and stuff, game is well worth it.
Leaps and bounds over the BF2142 beta, almost on par with 2142 demo; this game is a lot more demanding on the machine so lower specs will have a hard time appreciating the engine at this time. Upgrade to latest series encouraged I guess, game is stunning visually and is gorgeous in the sound department.
The way this game plays reminds me so much of Frontlines: Fuel of War. Not because of the (current) buggy-ness, but because of the way the graphics look, the way the guns feel while shooting, running, jumping, driving vehicles etc.
Also, I'm disappointed with the scalability of the graphics. There's not really a huge difference between low and high in terms of graphics quality & FPS.
i felt an imbalance of pitch/yaw sensitivity on 16:10 resolution and had to bump up yaw a tiny bit. i had to do this for 2142 also. i think dice made the mouse settings default for 4:3.
but something still about mouse movement, or rather gun movement on screen feels pretty loose and not solid.
that said, i'm getting pretty crappy performance on my 8800GT but i don't know how much of it is from crappy lag.
I have played one match had a smile on my face the whole time and came in first woohoo !
now its nothing but issues cant play at all its bumming me out
server browser CTD , play now, says check connections ;(
This is the same problem I am having. So it is not just you.
i got first place by playing medic on the attacker side, chilling on the hilltop where the snipers camp and just heal and revive snipers and not getting a single kill. if the other side has good snipers, you can get revives every few seconds especially if your team has a lot of snipers there.
played for 3 hours and works like a charm although the server i was on would get insane lagg when people would join and leave the server other than that its good,
Just got done playing my first round....feels just like Battlefield....which is great. Went 9-3 with various weapons. Had to do the play now to get in game...took about 3 tries till I got in a live server. Can't wait till the bugs are worked out. Will be ordering a server for our clan...SoV.. shortly. Nice job Dice....I new you would come through unlike Infinity Ward. BTW my little guy was playing it on his xbox also......I hope there is a way to turn off the language for the youngsters though.
the graphical settings need to be tweaked a little
not enough options in my opinion.
i don't have a good enough rig (yet, going to upgrade soon)
the resolution needs to have an option to go down more
