that's why all previous BF games had nade spam issues.

you obviously haven't experienced titan corridors. there's no adapting in certain situations.

Spam issues? Being a veteran of BF1942, BFV and BF2 I can tell you that every situation in those games can be overcome with tactics.

The titan corridor stalemates is the sole game breaking flaw caused by spam.

Like I said before, if it were really deemed a game breaking problem, adjusting the resupply rates would be the best solution.

look, i'm not saying there's no way to get past every nade spam situation. i've played BF since 1942 too and i know you can avoid it but wouldn't it be better if the problem wasn't there to begin with? my point is it'd be better if they did something to alleviate nade spam, not that nade spam is an unavoidable certain death.

but you keep annoying me by just saying it's not an issue and you can overcome with tactics, which is not really a way to alleviate nade spam, which was the whole point me making thread. my viewpoint is as long as nades are resupplyable, there will be nade spam to a certain degree and just as important, maps need to be designed to discourage this act.

I'm not disputing your point about alleviating nade spam. I simply cannot agree with your idea of nerfing grenades to such an extent at which they might as well be removed.

I think it's fine as it is. Hope though with the specialization, you aren't able to spam. Maybe when you resupply, it takes longer to get those nades back, longer timer.

Hey, be thankful you can't take 1/4 health off of a tank with a single nade like you could in BF1942. At least now they only work on infantry and light vehicles.

But more to the point, BF needs nades and explosives for those hamfisted unibrows that can't get kills using a gun. And without said unibrows, there would be too many skilled people out on the battlefield at once, which isn't good. We need halfwits to sort of even it all out and also to give us something to shoot at when we're not playing at our best.

I remember in that BF:V map - the split map one with the sewers underground - they put ammo boxes at the top of one of the stairs and tards would just sit at the top of the stairs and drop an endless supply of nades and time bombs down the stairwell. That was my first ever encounter with what I'd consider 'nade spam' and it was hilarious (even moreso since FF was off and it was just a constant swarm of US soldiers and explosives raining down the stairwell).

Oh, and yes, whoever designed the Titan interior should be flogged.

Whats with this real life argument? Its a GAME and doesnt accurately simulate real life at all.

Unless im mistaken in the fact that after 25 kills on the front line i have the option to call in a tactical nuke?

you don't remember stalingrad nade spam into the middle of the railroad tracks? i've never seen more extreme nade spamming than that. people would just prone next to the ammo crates and throw nades the whole round without lifting their heads. and they would end up with like 70 kills and no death lol.

more recently other than titan corridors, camp-G central camp into ruins spawn is a pretty extreme nade spam spot. the place near the wall where it has a hole. i'm guilty of it myself and my current best killstreak of 54 was achieved on top of central camp roof, just blindly throwing nades into the spawn at ruins.

Unfortunately I never got a chance to play BF1942 online much since by the time I had something better than satellite internet, BF2 was all but out (I played BF:V while waiting for BF2's release). Most of my BF1942 experience was just LAN co-op with my dad and the bots never nade spammed, heh. Camp G is just a giant cluster**** anyway but yes even moreso when the Ruins/Central stalemate happens. That's when I usually just run around and whore resupply points and healing points and don't even bother trying to kill stuff. Neither team is ever completely devoid of lemmings that insist on 'making a run for it' straight down nade alley and racking up points for the enemy team so they don't need me to do it, and there's always enough PK rockets, nades, and Vossesses waiting on either side of the alley to deal with said lemmings so I just become everyone's favourite ammo supplier.

Karkand, though it's one of my least favourite maps overall, has never been a problem nade-wise for me. There's just too much open space for nades to be much of an issue, unless people insist on clustering inside the alleyway in the beginning. The only part that I really loathe about Karkand is when the MEC is pinned over on the other side of the water and it becomes a stalemate across the river. Then it's just a sniperfest, which is boring unless you're a sniper. But I've never seen a nade issue on Karkand, although that could be because I've never played IO.

Re: so how have they dealt with nade spam?

on karkand nade spam is a problem mostly in the beginning when the marines have to come down the hill towards the forward flag. it does get pretty spammy on 64 player servers during that initial charge but once you get past that area, most of the nade spam ends because everyone is scattered and going after different flags. camp-G is too linear so even if forward flag gets taken, there's often only one direction everyone will be fighting towards which leads to nade spammage.

                        Very wrong!

On my clan's 48 slot infantry server it's fine. They have all the infantry maps and the only time there's ever a spam of anything is the Central Camp <-> Ruins flag area by the pass under the catwalk. That is a horror movie.

The only thing that is spammed in BF2142 is those friggin' PK-74 rockets. They make LMGs with shields useless.

what's your point? i said that's where nade spam is worst if you read my previous posts. but your clan server doesn't speak for all the servers, although nade spam is less of a problem on servers with less that 64 players.

Then what's the point of making weapon killing power 10% of real and keeping grenades 100%?
