yeh to be 100% sure we will have to see how the other maps have been designed, luckily you can't really keep up the spam in a building sense because they get blown up and people only carry one grenade (other than nade launcher) that doesn't get resupplied instantly

there is the customisation to double the nade capacity, but I don't think I have ever seen people using it

Whining about nade spam is of course easier than using actual tactics in-game to overcome them.

easier said than done. i guess you haven't experienced titan corridor spam? no amount of tactics will get you past several guys spamming nades down the corridor.

I haven't. Although I have played the game numerous times and I believe you're correct that it is an issue. But it is also only an issue because there are distinctly no other tactical alternatives. This is a titan design issue more than a problem with nade spam.

The best method to prevent ridiculous excess would be to regulate resupply rates. Multiple grenade loudouts are just as much a part of combat as projectiles.

gee calm down with your anti-nade-spamming bashing. you don't have to agree but to go on a rant about nades on all these threads here, you're kinda taking things too personally.

grenade spam (and spam of all sorts!) is going to exist in all games unless there are no nades to begin with. Nade spam doesn't bother me at all since I always find ways to deal with it. I guess that's from having played just about 150 hours of Karkand IO and not complaining about grenades once.

Avoiding grenades on Karkand isn't too hard. Just stick back and snipe or pop guys trying to grenade with a SAW from a distance.

It's fun to watch people run around getting blown 10ft into the air!

wtf? look who's talking, mr. i go crazy whenever someone uses the word "realism". i ain't taking anything personally or going on rants on all these threads (what threads? this is the only one i'm discussing nade spam), i'm just campaigning for them to alleviate nade spam (because the game can be so much better without it). :)

afterall this is beta when things like this can be addressed.

and they effectively got rid of most of the nade spam in MW2 by limiting nades to 1 and nerfing their blast. that's what i'd like to see in BF. limit to 1 and don't allow it to resupplied. :)

You really don't need to worry about nade spam in BC2 if the beta is anything to go by. When I encountered this problem it was because players were exploiting the game which hopefully DICE will fix before the game is released.

If you haven't played the BC2 beta, BC1 or 1943 then you really should as you would see that nade spam isn't a problem because of the destructable environments. There are no "Titan Corridors" anymore as you can make your own path through if need be. It might not be as perfect as you want it but its pretty close and I think you'll be pretty pleased with the results.

I have a feeling that one grenade with reduced blast radius and no resupply would be completely useless in a Battlefield-type game.

Have you ever tried breaking through a titan corridor defended by nade spammers? I've played that situation on both sides and it's near impossible to break through even with only 2 or 3 people and sentries defending. And it's pretty rare to only see 3 people set up in the corridors.

:shakehead: One grenade with reduced blast radius and it can't be resupplied? You have got to be kidding. This is a terrible idea. This sort of minimalism is more akin to the Unreal and Quake games, and not BF. All previous BF titles (including MODS) worked well with multiple grenade loudouts, so I don't see a problem at all. All I see is people unwilling to adapt to the multi-faceted range and dynamic nature of combat.
