I can do that in under a second and keep running but i do understand your comment,for me getting the de fibs closer(prone) works better?

I will drop this prone thing incase it does get a tiring whine like you said,I will try a demo and see if there is one

In BF2 I find it easier. This is a different engine I suspect it won't suffer from that problem/issue. Yeah as with all things BF adapt and overcome.

And Absolute ... common sense applies here, what takes longer - run, drop down flat on the ground, revive, get all the way back up again. - OR - run, crouch, revive, run away.

An interesting question would be to ask whether they actually tested the game with prone in to validate some of the claims that they have been making about why prone isn't in the game.

Yeah im hoping maybe enough people complain about it so they update it and add it in, but as you can see here a lot of people dont care cause they are bad

There won't be prone, because like they've said for BC1, the snipers in guile suits would be near invisible sometimes.

That and theres no more Commander assets so spotting said sniper in the bushes would be even more difficult.

If this were true then why not just take away the sniper guille suit and give them a normal kit rather than taking prone away from all classes?

I seriously doubt that this is the cause as its even more lame than the reasons they've come up with recently.

Obviously you werent a good medic because i can tell you that you could be running dive and revive and be up less then a second later.

Obviously you weren't a good medic because I can tell you that you could defib a person while running over their body thus wasting no time proning or crouching. :P

Yes, in a real war situation, would u prefer getting kiled by an heli, sniped by a sniper, or blown up by a tank, or would u rather prone and maybe survive? in a war ull do everything to survive.. thats how i feel about the being able to crouch and not being able to prone, for me it is the same thing has being able to prone, and not being able to crouch, it feels incomplete for me both ways

Happy 2010 to you too :) but the same problem was present in bf1942 and BF2 and to some extent in BF2142 ... and that problem is not the only one that is present in all DICE games on PC. So ... from my point of view end experience with DICE games all I can say is that they are not capable to overcome some problems adequately. That does not make DICE incompetent or their games bad. It simply means that some problems are present on PC Battlefield games for more than 8 years. These problems are still not addressed properly just made less obvious.

Whats more ... they are well aware of these problems and no word on those in new engine are published. All we know that there will be no prone action. If solving problems in DICE is done by a principle: "If feature is not working OK then eliminate that feature" then ... who knows what feature will be eliminated next.

Don't get me wrong ... I'm not against prone action ... I was also infuriated by it until I learned how to deal with it ... Now I have just two problems with prone action: bad hit boxes and players that think that insta-prone is some kind of proof of their skills.

Yeah, sorry for getting u wrong, but i dont think we should worry about they making a prone wich would allow u to dolphin dive right in front of u, has there are many options to avoid that, like making a longer diving animation and adding a lot of recoil, even more than in 2142.
For example in ghost recon advanced warfighter2 there is dolphin diving and i see noone using it like in bf2..

Removing prone isn't going to get rid of macros, and it's already possible to make dolphin diving/prone spamming ineffective without removing prone, like a delay or accuracy penalty for going prone.

Take you have not been playing BF2 ??

Thing is there is a lot of moaning about not being able to hide becaus of no prone , so far it looks like most of the buildings are room orientated something that BF2 and 2142 does not have, and it looks like there are tons of places to hide 1.....2......3...... ready or not here I come

proning to revive is necessary in certain situations when you don't want to be seen where crouching/standing will expose you. this is usually when you or your teammate's body is behind cover.

dolphin diving worked for firing guns, why shouldn't it work to revive? quickly decreasing your hitbox is an advantage.

Good medics never lie down to revive you crouch and revive while running. At this point in time you wont change DICE's mind its already too late, since the game will be out in two months. I rarely used prone to shoot, I always went crouch or crouch spammed to cancel recoil, but for hiding behind cover to reload prone was very useful.

Allright dude, a poll with less than 100 voters isn't going to change DICE's mind... the decision is final, and now this is getting annoying. Sure we used prone in BF2 all the time primarily because in order to shoot in any way accurately at some points, you had to.

Medic without prone? Since when do medics lie down on the ground next to someone to revive them? or heal them? And same thing hiding from "powning" tanks and helos? How is the ability to lie down on the ground more useful than staying mobile? A tank ... maybe if the circumstance allows for it, but a helo? The damn things flying above your head, proning makes you a bigger target if anything.

The only thing I do think is goofy is playing as support with an LMG, or (not as much) recon. But... its definitely possible.

Just let it go, the game will be fine, and you're really one of the only few people who gives a crap.

Well my point was rather broad... an "fps" without prone is just fail... how am i supposed to dive and revive? I gotta crouch all obnoxious like at a teammate... and i dont snipe but im sure snipers would like to be able to lay down. Its just going to have a silly feel to it
