they're so dedicated that they decided to keep the "no prone" from the consoles to PC. :laugh:

of course IW won't be doing the same thing DICE did by blogging everywhere and bragging their games will have prone.

Well no prone is bad, but we will see it can be good even without it. And Dedicated servers are bigger "thing" than prone.

If DICE/EA wants to be dedicated to its players then they should change how the rank system works, allow gaming communities with dedicated to have access to it. That way communities can host their own ranked server without having to pay $3 or more a slot. They screwed the community by limiting it to select few GSP's. the GSP's could charge us whatever they want because they knew we were limited on where we can rent a ranked server.

This is EA big chance to gain back customers but i have a feeling they will still screw this one up. What are they going to change to take advantage of IW screw up. If they try doing the booster packs again with BF:BC2 it will split the community like it did in BF2/2142. They should give the new content away for free so it keeps people playing which will make other people pick this game up.

Look at all the support TF2 has received, that game was $29 when it first came out and you don't see valve charging us for all the new content.

I think you can't compare Valves financial situation to that of DICE.
It's the same way with Blizzard, those Devs simply gain such a big amount of money they are in a totally different situation.

They have time and ressources.

yea it'd be silly to expect the same treatment from other games that TF2 did. people expected that from L4D1 and they were all upset when it failed to do so.

I dont mind paying for extra content at all:),even though it used to be free before marketers started thinking $$$.

what i dont want to see on my PC version is a console clone game or having my game nerfed because of them.After all it all was started on PC:salute:

I am now seeing a trend to make PC games around consoles because they want to save the money

and all i used to play was mods of 1942 aka DC final:thumbsup:,Bfv i played POE ,its a shame mod teams arent doing so well for there passion and hard work:salute:

when stats came they killed mod comunities

But by God I love the BF2 stats system. I don't think I would be playing now if it weren't for me trying to get certain achievements and goals. It's all part of the fun for me :)

Global stats rankings and the server exlcusivity is a huge buffer to piracy IMO. The sole centralized stats system forces gamers to use legitimate CD-keys. So I don't see it being dropped or being made available to the general public. If anything I'd expect DICE to expand the multiplayer social aspect with their next PC title. Maybe something along the lines of a DICE Battle.net albeit with world-wide select GSP dedicated server provisions.

Unfortunately the centralized global stats system and modifications are mutually exclusive - at least with the current methods of implementation.

* Maybe a user-end ranking (which is no doubt exploitable) such as in COD4 can be used for mods.
* Provide ranked server software to select, high quality modifications so that the developers can host their own global ranked ladders and system - with full in-game intergration.

The best anti piracy meassure are online accounts, Bf2 and simply every MMO are examples.

Also i do agree with the anit piracy comments,even if i do like mods
