Also, I am happy with EF and AF and the price I paid for both. I would purchase the same value/content boosters again.

In Estonia, gamers wouldnt spend 10 quid for 6 maps and 3 new vehicles, out of which all of the three are terribad and maps sub-par. Yes, the price is low compared to other goods, but the value is not matching the price, which is the point.

Its exactly this kind of attitude which lets companies like CAPCOM to release DLCs which unlock content already on the disk and get away with it.

Didn't say they should have, just said it would have been easy for them not to release a patch at all. There were no legal requirements.

Stuff like the Capcom DLC is pretty lowball (RE5 multiplayer and SF4 costumes), I mean they were even lame things. Charge $60 bucks for a game and pay $10 more to play deathmatch, which in order to play you already need to be a paying subscriber to xbox live and its on the disc. Now if that is being fickle about wanting something for nothing, then please say so.

With BF2 at least it was new content that was developed, DLC worth paying for, but some of this new DLC is just DLC for the sake of making money.

I find it apalling and shocking that you seem defend the concept of "**** mods! Id rather pay for DLC-s!".

BF2-s booster packs, in light of all the mods released, are absolutely nothing in comparison. Let us examine the new added vehicles. I havent driven the Challenger yet, but it looks far, far worse than the one in PR mod for example. I can tell you that Eurotiger and Eurocopter are a horrid mess of coding abortion, both are done much better in POE2.

Webs, I believe that the reason why Epic wont be able to support mods over XBL is because of all the possible legal implications Microsoft is going to have to face once money taints the otherwise free content. So instead they opt for the "if we cant make money out of it, we say no" way.

There's no reason why you should expect maps for free. They're new content that the devs made and decide to charge for. Patches are one thing, new content is another. Am I saying that devs shouldn't give out free content? No; but it's okay for a company to charge for extra content.

Once again. Im expecting new and free content from the mods and I expect the developer to give me all chances and options to enjoy that. Noones talking about expecting free additional content from the devs. What we were discussing was whether or not paying for certain content is justified, pricewise. Alex says 10 quid for both boosters was a fair price. Im saying its not, when compared to what the community has given and the quality of said boosterpacks. Competitions to allow various community maps to be added into patches, or break the map limitation from ranked system would have been a much, much better option.

Ranger, there might have been some miscommunication. Im saying that CAPCOMs fans are fickle just the way every other "hardcore fan" is, that aslong as it has the devs logo plastered over something, its all good, its all great.
