Over the last 4-5 years, Ive developed and learned of a number of different techniques on how to improve my aim. Some of those techniques have also been mentioned at TBF2 during various times.
* Running around a tree while keeping your aim stead on it
* Flicking around at various degrees (usually 180) and trying to get on the target on the first flick
* Flicking on and off the target, trying to get as close to it on the first motion
* www.missionred.com minigames
And there are a couple of others, which have been very helpful.
However, recently I got dragged into Quake Live, and after just a couple of intense rounds, I noticed that my aim in BF2 became spectacular. My close quarters combat skills improved tremendously. I wasnt a terribad player either, but 1.5 patch got me a little off guard and I havent been playing for over a year. Now, combined with intense Quake Live rounds, I notice that the pure mechanical aiming part of the game in BF2 is just piss-easy. So, anyone who feels like they have to work on that, should give QL a go. Youll get owned in that game, literally, but take it as a training exercise for BF2 and you wont regret it.
