Yeah, grabbed the legit one from pirate bay. Getting between 400-600k. A friend of mine said he d/l from Fileplanet but when he clicked on the exe to install it did nothing. WTF is that?

I didn't notice this in the patch notes but maybe I am just blind here.... sprint ability seems to last wayyyyyyyy longer than it used to, especially for anti-tank and engineer classes. Love it! Also, now I get to use my whole screen, at max resolution. I really wish they had done something to the bunny hopping spammers though. As for COD4, meh. I play it on my PC and xbox 360. Its OK if you want to play with a bunch of little kids and are so ADHD that you have to insta-spawn when you die, but it still can't hold a candle to good ol' BF2!

Well after staying up an hour later then I wanted to in order to download and install 1.5, I've been met with 2 CTD. Guess that's my impression of it for now. Going to bed now, have a fresh go at it tomorrow at work.

The missile lock in the F-35 is now down to 1 second instead of the old 1.5 (why the hell it was ever 1.5 is beyond me) and the missiles actually hit now. Taking the J-10 down is now something any noob can do. No more lop sided air wars, it's all going to be F-35 from now on since I think it handles better than the J-10.

Oh, and chopper TV camera is a huge improvement. It looks more realistic, like something the army would actually use. On maps like Dragon Valley you are no longer handicapped by that ridiculous white sky that washed out your crosshair. The crosshair is black and the enemy chopper is black so there's a huge amount of contrast. Any noob can be decent at it now.

p.s. Just noticed that the friendly vehicles have a green marker on them signifying they are friendly. This patch is so noob friendly.

New maps are awesome, my game runs 100fps constant when it was 50-70 before and now I can finally have my 1680x1050 resolution at 120Hz!

hey what controls control the TV missile? i lost my ability to steer them after the patch, but it still shows as WASD in the controls.

it's all going to be F-35 from now on since I think it handles better than the J-10.

That and the fact that the F-35B has more vulcan rounds than the J-10. I haven't had the chance to try out F-35 vs. J-10, but if what you say is true, I look forward who are truly good pilots or cowards who just flew J-10 for the J-10.

I said it on another forum (or was it here?) a little while ago: it's going to be funny watching people try to team stack for the J10, only to realize it's no longer the overpowered piece of nub sh*t it once was. :laugh:

Having said that, my "jet on jet" proficiency is probably going to take a significant hit, but it's all for the best you know?

thank god the J10 is balanced then, didn't get the chance to fly one, saw someone fly the A10 into a tree though, the wingspan on that thing is huge!

As for the hit reg etc, I was on a 40-50 ping server and it was fine imo

and if the game was like COD4, we could all just hold fire in the general direction of the enemy and get kills

According to Baza on the EAUK forums, you can either have AA (anti-aliasing, that is) on and not be able to alt-tab, or you can disable it and alt-tab will work. Don't know why those two wouldn't be able to work together, but there you have it.

AHA! That's why I've been crashing when I Alt+Tab out. I don't mind having AA off, so I'll do that.

1 - The new map sucks
2 - Taraba Quarry is in dire need of helis. I'll settle for Littlebirds.
3 - The hit registration is still completely unacceptable. (1) would be ok if (3) wasn't a problem.


I'm hoping the low ping servers are going to fill up a lot more and play something other than Operation New Shiny Piece of Crap. Until then, back to L4D and COD4.

As an addendum, I would like to say that hit registration from Littlebirds and attack helis is still spot on, so I can count on the air aspect to keep me playing... until the servers empty up again.

lol Sloi what games spoil u so much, comparing to what bf2 was before this is worth playing now. I love this patch
