A good PC game is something that's not also fun but takes full advantage of the platform. I don't like the dumbing down. That's what consoles are for. And that's not even a dis towards the console gaming. That's just fact.

Well Bf2 and the mods was the center of my life for over a decade , then i shifted to Alien Isolation which doesn't even make sense, but here we are.
I loved Bf2 because of it's fast pace and competitiveness, and obviously the co-op and huge maps. It was so much fun, the graphics didn't matter. Although i thought they looked good then.
But otherwise, the most important thing that makes a game good to me, is atmosphere. I realized i always tend to gravitate toward games that have a particularly good atmosphere, with the exception of bf2 maybe, but the maps for some of the mods like PoE2 had great atmosphere. Also decent graphics and not the 'cartoonish' look. Not in to that, personally, or flashy stuff as someone else mentioned. I am extremely picky though. Rarely does a game come along that interests me.
A good game, is like a good book, only with the added bonus of being able to play the game, and some games are so well made, they might as well be masterpieces!
