Well I would just like to remind everyone that BC1 ran flawlessly on any xbox 360...

If what you are calling 'flawless' is between 20-30 frames per second on average then I would agree with you. Many PC gamers would reject such performance though. I for one will only play a game if I can max it to a solid 60 FPS. If a game won't run to that standard then I will find something else to play.

For the record, I think this forum will still be full of speculation come 2011, when you will all be saying that BF3 is due out, Q1 2012 etc etc. The PC gaming market is only a fraction of the console market and the only way that we will ever see a massively exclusive PC title ever again is if a flock of gamers leave consoles for the DX11 effects of PC's. Otherwise PC games (especially shooters) will always be console ports with a few extra layers of eye candy.

BF2 may have sold 2 million (or wotever it was), but COD6 sold 10 million (or maybe it was even more than that)!

bad comparison, no console battlefield has sold that much and bad company 2 won't.

24 players for console BC-2 and................
40 players for PC BC-2 says it can't handle what BF2 had (64 players ).

And seems we are meant to be moving forwards , BF3 should be able to handle atleast 80 players , but frostbite will not allow that , not even 64 players

frostbite "can't" handle 32 players on consoles, because current consoles have ridiculously small ammounts of ram, Xbox has 1 GB that it can splice hoever it wants on video and system, PS3 is fixed to 512 MB of ram for video, and same ammount for system ram.
PC frostbite handles 32 players because the maps for BC2 weren't designed for larger player counts, if DICE needs to, they can increase the player count to 128; but I wouldn't really like it since they have sketchy programming and design, If they can repeat the 64 player thing, it will be awesome.

Are you sure about that? They've already had a peak number of players 400% more than the peak for any other BF game. It's possible that the PC success will eventually bleed over to consoles and they'll pick up more too.

Hard to say at this point, really.

Well when you think of it, a BF3 wouldn't be more than BFBC2 because they have hit tha far limits of consoles already. If BF3 is going to bring something new it isn't coming to consoles or they will do a separate version like with BF2.

Try different graphics -> not possible
Bigger maps -> not possible

Only a BFBC2 with different maps will be possible on consoles.

Scary how accurate those specs are current gen games when I just made them up as blown totally out of proportion. I was thinking along the lines how BF2 was made with future PC specs in mind. I just stumbled across this while bored.

God dammit, f EA/DICE! They said BFBC would stay with the consoles in mind and BF3 would be made for the PC crowed. Seriously, this is why BF1943 has taken so long, because they wanted to give PC players a unique experience from the console crowed. Bull!

well this is crap. at this point, if its going to come out on consoles, as painful as this is to say, I'd rather wait till the NEXT gen of consoles (IE PS4/Xbox 720)

that way, we PC players won't be limited by these damn consoles.. BF3 better have jets, 64+ players etc or else :cry:

if I bought EA tommorow I would just keep the normal system requirements

but in every console version of the game instead of a disc and game would be a piece of paper saying

"sorry your breadbin/gaybox cannot handle this game"

either way it will either run on the same engine as BC2 or a slightly modified one imo
