If what you are calling 'flawless' is between 20-30 frames per second on average then I would agree with you. Many PC gamers would reject such performance though. I for one will only play a game if I can max it to a solid 60 FPS. If a game won't run to that standard then I will find something else to play.
For the record, I think this forum will still be full of speculation come 2011, when you will all be saying that BF3 is due out, Q1 2012 etc etc. The PC gaming market is only a fraction of the console market and the only way that we will ever see a massively exclusive PC title ever again is if a flock of gamers leave consoles for the DX11 effects of PC's. Otherwise PC games (especially shooters) will always be console ports with a few extra layers of eye candy.
BF2 may have sold 2 million (or wotever it was), but COD6 sold 10 million (or maybe it was even more than that)!
