I also wish that they would add the ability to cook grenades. Something i miss from the old Wolf:ET days.

I can see why they don't, though. NOBODY cooks grenades if they can help it. Grenades have a 3-5 second fuze and are made by the lowest bidder. You really don't know when they'll explode.

A real person might cook a grenade for a second before dropping it in a hole or a window, but not before throwing it.

It's like jumping to pass in basketball. It's dumb.

Yeah, thats their marketing hype in the works. They are warming up the engines. Get the feeding frenzy going. Then they will show the great trailers of stuff going on that you can't really do in the game, but make it look awesome.

They all do it, but I think the PC community will be looking closer to it than normal.

Demize did the weapons system for BF2142, and repi has been one of their programmers for years. Those are the two that I follow, and all of them have played since 1942 I'm pretty sure.

You'd be surprised how many people in DICE think games like 1942 are just outdated and old. I mean they are... but their concepts aren't.

which sux because 1942 was the pinnacle of innovation/creativity imo. they weren't scared to put in things like movable naval assets even though it was kinda clunky.

I and alot of other ole schoolers thought 2142 was the point at which Dice started F*** it all up, It devided the community back then. Its sad that no devs come from the 1942 era. Yeah lets get BF3 will all this dream sci-fi sheet that does not exist(see thru wall stuff)

I dont think they are missing out on generations. The generation you speak of is a lot smaller and the market has changed.

Well why bother with a game when it's obviously just a reskin of BF2 with the only addition being the easily fixed bugs as "features" in 2142?

Haha BF2142 was a good game, I just got into it way too late.
