    Re: Show Your Stuff!!

cpu cooler, that makes no sense, your comp isnt going to give you bsod because of your temps unless they are rediculously high in the first place.

so i brought my cpu clock up and have it at 3.65ghz right now but i was playing and then i got this blackscreen at the beginning of a round and my fans were going full blast.

since my ram is ddr2 800 pc26400 i try to keep the DRAM timing at 800mhz but then i was just increasing my cpu clock idk maybe i need to crank some voltages up but im not sure which ones..

CPU Vcore, CPU PLL, NB Voltage, DRAM Voltage, SB Voltage... the list goes on.

And moose, i'd like to see that 4ghz overclock with no extra voltage after 5 hours of Prime95

prime95 IS the stress test i've been using. although, the longest i've been able to run it was about 4 hours. during that time is when i hit the 54c mark. it fluctuates between the high 40's & low 50's. tomorrow i plan on letting her go for a good 8 hrs.

If it's 8 hours, take us a SS with Prime95 after and CPU-Z next to it. :)

i have my chip at 3.9Ghz but was getting a couple death screens today so i increased vCore from +55 to +70mV but im starting to wonder if the RAM is the issue ddr2 800 pc26400

because in my bios i have the ram speed set to the lowest ratio 333/667 because apparently the target ram speed needs to match the speed the ram is rated at (800mhz) but its around 870Mhz right now but then earlier i wasnt getting any problems with cpu speed at 3.6Ghz with ram at 960mhz with the ram speed ratio set to default.

nvmind ddr2 800 is rated for 400mhz bus speed

it's cpu id i have for monitoring, but same thing. anyways, i started at about 8:30 this morn & let it go to about 5:40pm...just over 9 hours. i was pretty busy, but checked in now & then. didn't personally see anything higher than 51°c

as a side note, i've heard that certain batches of chips are better than others. maybe this has something to do w/ it as well. i'm not super-techy, but it seems to be quite stable & cool

The reason hsi Rig is SOOOO TIGHT is because I went over and built it for him. He is lucky he got himself a nice batch and well a bad *** CPU..

Now if ti stops workign you cant blame me :)

His Zalmon 9900 had that bad boy on air idling at 37.. I mean not bad and the e8500 45nm chip is a beast of a chip.

actually 1.43 without effiecient cooling :)

Lastly I need to get a Customer Cable Inside Logo going on that rig :)

I have a fail computer right now. Six year old dell with power source that I somehow got working again, and steam won't start anymore.

But I'm getting a new laptop in less than a month.

I started my gaming "career(?)" on laptops as posted above ran through 3 laptops before I finally said "screw this sh!t" I'm not going to play with 5Fps on a Titan server. Got my desktop and I like it but I've alreayd started looking at some new ones b/c I am just to lazy to take the thing apart.

Upgrading a desktop is actually pretty easy. I put more RAM and a better video card in the failputer I'm using now about two years ago. It's a lot cheaper, but after after extended periods of time everything starts to go to **** as I am finding out. Buying a new computer is inevitable, and I'm getting a laptop instead of another desktop because a laptop is going to be much more sensible in college.

This is true I had a laptop from 2002, but all of its stuff was intergrated. I have upgraded my computer before but I'm not always the most confindent person when it comes to playing with orange, blue, red, and etc. wires. I loved my laptop though, shame that its gone RIP. 1-7 Max FPS was always a hardcore way to knife KAIN I've had my computer for roughly a year now and I'm looking to getting higher Fps in-game but I'll wait until I see something that stands out from the rest.
