what in the hell does physX even do?

i was playing mirrors edge and having physX on with shattering glass would drop my framerate down from 5 million all the way to like 15-20fps

everything else i would get like 5 million fps but then whenever glass broke it would go to nothin. so i promptly shut physx off

here is a perfect example of what you're talking about field

physx show much more detail, specifically w/ stuff like shattered glass & rubble from explosions. the more detail shown, the greater the load on your system....

I played Mirror's Edge on my 9600GT with the Physx on. It doesn't affect gameplay in any way but it does add some nice realism to the world.

lol, i didn't catch that. Hit the wrong key when. ' <-----That's what i meant to put. And i messed up my first reply, i was going to write "looks like you play in one of those sterile rooms" But edited it and didn't catch how crappy it came out.

its the protective screen on the monitor tap is holding it on still :) new monitor

Ear plugs are to not be woken up in the middle of the night.

And cable is right, it's to hold up the protective screen thing. My old monitor had a bunch of finger prints and dust, it was a real hassle. So i just left it on for my new monitor, can't notice it when it's on.
