It does have a bolt, you just don't see it when you are zoomed in, was eating fps or something. You can see it in the reload animation. And Recon, stop spamming :p

CoD MW2 should copy Crysis and add real time weapon customization to the game...

So many times where I'm running around with an MP5 and wish it was suppressed for just a little moment.

That is a good idea, but it would kind of defeat the point of IWs rank and reward system, however they could do something much like the UAV, Air Strike and Heli (dogs in WaW) whereby giving you certain extras as you progress on certain gametypes, for example capturing a flag, which could be something like a depot, on domination, you could earn points towards buying an upgrade or something.

Just to add, Crysis is an amazing game and anyone who hasn't played it should be shot :o Unless you don't have a computer good enough for it still.

But the reason the game designers never put an actual M40 without a scope is because... you wouldn't practically use one in warfare for any other purpose than long range accuracy. If you wanted something for a closer in fight you would obviously pick a semi auto/ automatic assault rifle. Its all in the day and age.

If they did it would have been awesome... but it wouldn't have made any logical sense.
Good point. In real life you can put a 7.62 bullet right through somebody's heart and they still have time to pull the trigger on you. Hence a good 3 shot burst from an 'ol 5.56.

What I mean is, in the game, people drop instantly and cannot continue firing. Play the free DLable game Operation 7 and you'll know what I mean. If soldiers want a 7.62 weapon in CQB, that's why the M14 EBR exists, and it's semi-automatic.

Also an M40A3 sniper rifle is VERY long, hence a "SNIPER" rifle. The M16A4 is 1006mm, so 1.002m, that's pretty long for CQB where you need iron sights, not a scope. Well imagine a 1117mm rifle, that's 1.117m, that's 10cm longer then the M16A4, that's crap in CQB, and remember in COD you're animation doesn't get stuck and you can have you're rifle magically sticking through a wall.

                    Source (M40A3)
