Total War series

Anybody ever played any from Total War series?

It seems to me that there are few playing it. I'm currently playing Rome: Total War, and may get the coming Empire: Total War a year from now.

I really like the battle of R:TW, and E:TW seems to be promising that finally there's a TW game that you can play Wellington v.s. Napoleon or Washington v.s. Cornwallis. I'm not sure about M2TW, though. The term-based strategy part is boring and administering cities are PITA.

Any comments?

LOVED Shogun:TotalWar. Played all the others, but they werent the same :*(

I hear ETW is going to be pretty sweet. I will try that one out as I continue to hope for a Shogun2.

Fairly sure the singpleplayer was turn based in Rome and shogun.... Played all of them so far and while they are really decent game the AI can be a pain in the but a lot of the time, only thing i hope they will fix really in E:TW.

I have Medieval Total War and it was a fun game its one of my brother's favorites.

Turn based with real time was a masterstroke

Rome total war was me favourite, with a bit of modding

ETW is looking awesome, have waited ages for Naval battle and the level of detail and intricacy makes my mouth water

the AI is said to be much improved as well

Played all of em, currently conquering the Middle East with the Holy Roman Empire in MTW2. Anyone getting ETW?

i have played all of the total war games and they are the best strategy series IMO.

cant wait for E:TW finally be able to establish the british empire and, in my game when the American colonies revolt i will crush them and be supreme ruler of the entire world, with my vast navy and thousands of linesmen.....

apart from naval combat the best part is the MULTIPLAYER CAMPAIGN!!!!! although ill probably get my arse handed to me on a silver platter.

every time i play the British or english my first and main objective is to annihilate the french, not that i don't like them or anything:p

im going to download the demo as soon as its available, and spend the next day or 2 downloading it, but i like the choice of battles, ones that the British Won
