Re: Quit whining
Well, they could at least put the 1.5 patch out for public beta testing. It's not like they'd be making any money off that...
Btw, the game does not necessarily have to be PC exclusive. It just needs to not be completely consolized. BF1943 is already gone in that department, unless they make some big changes. BF:BC2 still has a chance.

Re: Quit whining
Definitely not. Even on the most popular games like CoD4, CSS, and CS. Check for yourself. Not to mention the fact that these servers are extremely easy to shut down, especially when mostly all of them have "cracked" or "non-steam" in their names.Originally posted by Alex98ukCracked servers. Hundreds of them. Above 9000 for sure.

We might be saying goodbye to 64 player forever, just like 128 player dissapeared in 2004
also i know some people who play on cracked servers, even in my clan

Re: Quit whining
Pc gaming is dying >.> Thanks to its overpriced hardware as well as the game requirements people are finding it a lot easier to just spend $300 on an Xbox than 1-3k on a pc to play the same game and developers know that.
Won't be long until all games are ported to PC.

Re: Quit whining
It's not dying but there has been few good titles for the PC lately, especially since PC gamers in general have higher demands than console players that'll buy anything that looks good in the trailer.
There's still a bright future for PC gamers if developers would get their act together and stop watering everything down. The console and PC versions doesn't have to be exactly the same.

Re: Quit whining
It's only a matter of time.
I'm definitely a PC over console gaming fan boy but after playing a few of the latest titles (even if the gameplay was sh*t) like Far Cry 2 and CoD:WaW on console the graphics and quality of the games
really aren't that far from PCs. Imho if you don't have alot of money to burn then the price to quality ratio between the two definitely stands in consoles favour.

Re: Quit whining
Yeah I wouldn't expect companies to concentrate on PC games, it's more of a pain in the *** to support your different hardware choices and have that work with the game, it's much simpler to put out a game for the standard XBox/PS3 hardware specifications, and have much less bugs to fix. Therefore companies spend less money, debugging and fixing the game and could just sit back and collect money. After all they are business, they don't care about your fun, they care about $$ and what sells.
I'm still a loyal to the PC. I'm glad the games are developed along side with consoles, at least it's not like Battlefield Bad Company coming out only for consoles. I rather have a console port then have none at all.

Re: Quit whining
As soon as PC games die, I will not be a gamer anymore...
Well, maybe I'll start again when my son gets a console or so...
Assuming that it is much easier to develop games for consoles it's funny to see that console games are more expensive than the equivalent PC version.
Btw how am I supposed play a FPS with a stupid console controller? I need my m/k!
