1943 looks very good and seems to be quite fun when we look at the trailer, but i have to admit i'm worried with the possibility of low player amount, small quantity of maps and the general simplification of the game for the pc.

but i'm probably not going to get it anyway, the "buying online" thing doesnt work for me, i like to go to the store an get my games.


but maybe i'll go with Bad Company 2 if everything seems okay by then :)

No, but seriously, even though BF2142 was not as great/popular as BF2, it did solve a lot of the teamwork and balance issues that BF2 had.

With the knowledge that DICE gained after releasing 2142, which corrected a lot of BF2's balance and gameplay issues, they could have easily applied those lessons towards BF3.

Therefore Sloi, I would not be concerned about you raping anyone. :p

This is very disappointing, but to them it is just a way to make more money.

Imagine how good the games would be if they focused all of their resources on just one game at a time.

could it be that DICE no longer feels like they want to invest resources in making a PC exclusive title? it can be said 2142 was received poorly by many in the BF community and PC gamers in general (check the reviews on amazon for people who boycotted and poorly rated the game due to the in-game advertising scheme). despite some great features and good balance of gameplay in 2142, it suffered from numerous bugs, glitches, exploits, not to mention all the wide spread cheating and hacking which all plague the game till this day (for example, i'm 100% sure DICE is aware of issues like 2142 servers crashing all the time and EU transport that shoots blanks but they have made it clear they don't intend to fix such issues - by not doing anything for the past couple years). the fact that DICE doesn't address problems in a timely manner or at all tells me that they are discouraged and don't want to (for economic reasons, motivational reasons, etc.) and their lack of commitment tells me they have realized that developing PC titles is just not efficient and profitable compared to doing console titles and then maybe porting the title to PC. in times of such economic hardship, they're just doing what any company would do to maximize profits and reduce committing resources to things that doesn't really generate or no longer generate money.

Battlefield: Heroes- WW2, Team Fortress 2 knockoff. Free to play, download only.

Battlefield: 1943- WW2, revamped 1942 with new GFX engine, 24-player max online, apparently download only.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2- Modern combat, improvement over original console version and coming to PC as well, 24-player max is probably the max if it's going to consoles and ported over to PC.

What the hell? DICE is behaving like M$, release three different flavors of Battlefield games. What kind of quality can we expect if they are working on three major titles at once?

Did DICE forget that BF2 was their most successful game ever? Why have they abandoned BF3? That would have been a sure hit. Now we have THREE new Battlefield games coming out and no one knows if they will even be close to what BF2 was like in quality/gameplay/fun.

Hang on, let me find my fail stamp before we begin, better make that the epic fail stamp.

For a start, the first 2 games arnt full games, they are test phase games, so no they arnt working on 3 major titles at all. They're working on one new major title BF-BC 2, which will be this almighty BF3 no doubt.

Again someone else moaning about this 24 player cut off, someone help me see whats the problem? please i beg you...

BF2 in its day was the cream of the crop granted, but its rusted junk now so lets forget about BF2 just like we did BF1942 & BF2142.

To the point, don't concern yourself with the fact 3 games are being released at the same time, ENJOY IT! stop moaning, its better than them releasing nothing at all, even if they do fail, at least they tried, which obviously aint good enough.

I'm not going to enjoy BF:H or BF:1943 as BF2 replacement games. If I want cartoon fighting I'll play TF2 and if I want regenerative health I'll play COD4, oh, and unlimited ammo, damn no game has that except 1943.

unlimited ammo doesnt mean you dont have to reload, you simply wont need to go ask someone for ammo.

I know that, I don't like it, it's just gonna make people spam constantly instead of conserving ammo and taking your shots wisely.

Bad idea. Not only that but it opens up the opportunity for unlimited camping/spawn camping.

Once again you have not played a game. You are judging it before it has been released. You could criticise cod4 for having instant respawn times. But does it work? yes. You could criticise BF2 for one team having an uncap while the other doesnt. Does it work? yes.
You can criticise bf2 for not allowing you to shoot whilst jumping. For the bad hitboxes. For the reload glitches. Despite all this which sounds dreadful. Its still a brilliant game.

So please shut up. You have minimal experience of the new titles. You are judging them by a trailer and blatently being influenced by other people with negative views of the game. Which like yourself have no experience what so ever.
It wouldn't surprise me if your a younger than 20. Which again (no offense) suggests you do not know what your talking about.

You are getting new games. If you dont like it. Be my guest and dont play. But DO NOT try and influence other people to be as narrow minded as yourself for this is just selfish.

After all your complaining, I sure hope you do not buy the game. But as expected you'll be a hypocrite and pretend you didn't slag the game off all those times.
