OMFG, now you slaney?! No F***ing way! I swear I'm still pissed at those EACS, 2142 stats advisors or whatever the hell they are called. Everytime I think of having gotten all my hard work reset just because I was GOOD makes me want to... go to their office where their lazy EA asses are sitting and start shooting! UGH! If they even took the time to realize and admit that they ****ed up and publicly announce it then maybe I'd forgive them.

I remember getting the same **** back too when I started all those Customer Support tickets. They just kept repeating the same stuff over and over even when it wasn't pertaining to what I had said. I remember one thing that they kept saying. Something along the lines of... "There was evidence that you were gaining stats unfairly."

EA blows chunks and they gotta hire only people that play the actual friggen game they are tending to especially when it has to do with the stats of people that put more time than others into the game. They gotta actually UNDERSTAND the game before they start to f*** with it!

Indeed at the official site it's completely wiped, very strange... I had some rounds with my new soldier yesterday with some very interesting tags (Forces) and nothing was updated, neither on stats 2142 or the official EA site. Something wrong with the main server, again?

Sorry it's a bit late to ask now, but anyway, please can you tell me the name of your new soldier that you used to get my tags? (I assume you mean Forces(UK) when you say Forces).

If you remember the server too, then that would be even better.

You see, it may not have been me. Somehow people were able to log in as me and add roughly another 1000 knife deaths to my soldier in just a few weeks. They also got me a totally ridiculous kill streak (600!!!!), presumably to try to get me wiped.

I know that I have a reputation of being very mistrustful of players who may or may not be cheating, but at least anyone can see that I'm not making this up, simply by looking at my stats.

And I mean I'm hardly going to suddenly give myself a 600 kill streak after I've slogged my guts out playing so much that I get into the top 50. You may hate me or think I'm paranoid, or that I "whine", but I hope you don't think I'm stupid enough to go from playing fair for two years, to then suddenly engaging in BLATANT unmistakable stat-padding.

I noticed that something odd was happening, when stats trackers would show my most recent server as one that knew I had never even used once.

So, I wrote to DICE and let them know. They are still investigating what happened, but anyway, these days I'm playing much less, concentrating on my real life instead, so there's no rush to sort it as far as I am concerned.

It does seem that some serious silly business has gone on in the world of BF2142 lately though.

I think it was a revenge attack, because some stat-padding server admin kicked me for not being a stat-padder (seriously) and I reported the server. Two people who had get to Luitenent Gen by emping command assetts all day got reset, and I think what happened to my account was some kind of "revenge attack". They also stalked me in the game to try and force a loss for me all the time.

That seems to have eneded now, but still I think that till the next update, BF2142 is going to be subject to all kinds of abuse still.

but for the future, you probably did nothing to get stalked by these people, but you might wanna be a bit more careful about what you say, cuz you have accused me for this and that as well and if i wanted to be a pain in the *** am sure that would have been possible:P

Yeah, sorry to you and anyone else I may have ever wrongly accused ...but I get accused myself too, and I never rip on people for it, or threaten to complain to EA about etc.

As for the people logging in as me, actually I think the hack was probably a bit more complicated than that, but as DICE are still investigating, it would be silly of me to speculate further at this stage.

One thing making it rather obvious that it wasn't me was when I woke up one day and saw that my number of knife deaths has gone up by several hundred compared to the previous day. ...Not something I would wish to do to my own account! Also, I'm pretty confident that gamespy will see which IPs were used to log in to which account at which time etc, and work out who did what.

Shouldn't be too hard I hope.

Oh, I wouldn't be too bothered about that.

PB Bans can see your real GUID, so it won't kick you for it, as you've no doubt already found out.

Name-spoofers are just pathetic and irrelevant.

Mortenpeachy name-spoofed me and got my name on PBBans last April, but all it did in the end was make him look like an even more obvious cheat, because everyone can see it's his GUID by the ban.

I suppose some people get hacked randomly. Some people get hacked because they get to a high place on the leader board, and that makes them a "target".

Sometimes I guess you just have an argument with the wrong person in a forum, and they decide to take "revenge" on your stats rather than simply calling you an 4rse.

as for the dice investigators, i wouldnt get my hopes high as theyre not the fbi of gaming:P ive sendt many messages to their support team and most of the time i dont even get an answer. when i do, its almost like getting that robot voice on the phone when youre calling the tv company complaining about the signals.

dial 1 for medic, 2 for support.

dial 9 if you think this is a waste of time.

Well, I hope it might help that I noticed the abuse going on and drew it to the attention of DICE while the people in question were continuing to hack my stats, and so DICE would have had the chance to see it happening "live" so to speak.

I am rather annoyed, because my knife d/k used to be about 19:1, and the people who abused my account took it down to about 13:1, but oh well, it's only a game I guess...

I expect Blade thingy will get out his RDX macro and bunnyhop his way to being first in the UK again soon, so I won't even have that claim any more, cuz I can't be 4ssed to keep playing so much.

Still, it will be nice to start caring about my actual life again I suppose...
