Voss vs. Scar

which do you prefer? i tried the voss for a while but i like the scar better it seems more accurate for me and i figured this would be a good discussion topic

Surprizingly, I'll take Voss over SCAR, mainly because I've always had supernaturally bad luck when handling the SCAR.

I too would pick the Voss over the Scar... I mean sorry guys but it is a good gun. I'll usually play with Baur or Krylov though.

For me, SCAR > Krylov > Voss > Baur.

SCAR is the most versatile AR imo, I can spray if some guy jumps out from behind a corner but not have to reload after since it's only 600 RPM and a few bullets will kill someone. It's also great for medium ranges in bursts after the deviation/recoil reduction in that one patch. Krylov is good too but the 30-round magazine goes by too fast. The Voss is just a good CQB gun, you have to rely on rockets for anything farther. Baur is great for really fast kills if you have teammates backing you up, a longish burst while scoped will kill nearly anything pretty quickly, and the recoil is predictable and just goes up unlike the Voss which shakes all over the place.

The SCAR is arse. I use it all the time, and it's arse. I'd actually rather have the Lambert than the SCAR, although admittedly the SCAR is a bit more accurate at range. The SCAR seems to suffer from Phantom Bullet Syndrome more than any other AR. Maybe it's just me, though. I feel great when I start getting kill streaks with it, though, if for no other reason than to say, 'Oh yeah, well I got a DCE with the SCAR! Beat that, biatch!'.

And moose, I'm going to petition DICE to make a gun that shoots knives instead of bullets in the next BF game. THEN what would you do?! :laugh:

shooting quick 1-2 bullet bursts in rapid succession seem to be the best thing for this gun if the target is medium range or farther. for some reason i get more headshots with the scar than any other gun.

Could be. This gun seems to be the most unforgiving of all the ARs on full auto, and I'm often way to impatient with it. Given how quickly I get killed in this game I don't want to take longer to kill someone else than I absolutely have to so I tend to rush things.

Ever played AIX mod for BF2? You have throwing knifes in MP... just epic.

I've always liked the Baur best for some reason. Predictable spray and it's like a semi auto sniper in single shot. Just love it. Spraying from the hip seems to be most effective of the ARs with it too, not sure if it's more accurate or if it's just the extra damage that does it.

Not to mention the badass reloading. Shove it in under the scope.

Not only badass reloading, but quick reloading. Although given its small mag I suppose it has to be, but it's nice that it's a very brief reload sequence nonetheless.

Oh yes, good stuff. I remember playing MP and always being Oddjob since he had the armoured hat (and was the smallest besides...OMG overpowered nerf Oddjob plz Rare ).

I can't even play GoldenEye anymore, though, given how cumbersome it is compared to PC FPSes.
