Isn't it just completely aweeesoomeee. I mean every time they make a new GTA they always do better. The city is amazingly huge and gorgeous especailly during the day, jesus, I love driving under bridges cause of the light shining through, and the trees, so awesome. I thought it looks even BETTER when you take the heli tour.

Yeah, I must admit, I was very impressed by the graphics. Everything just looked so nice that you could drive around and admire the city - although I wish there was a cheat to make it always sunny.
I have only played it on xbox and tbh the graphics are kinda sh*t imo... And to cover up the poor graphics they seem to have just made everything really dark... Maybe it's different on pc :)

There's nothing wrong with GTA IV on the pc. Yes, it's providing low FPS on even the best performing PC's out there but that should not stop you from purchasing this great game. With my specs I'm getting between 25-45 FPS. It will be a horrid game for those of you who must have the dazzling effects and all that jazz. Because you expect 70+FPS.
But overall, the story is great, the twists are great and the overall dynamics of the game are great. Rockstar's work on porting this game to PC however, could have used some more work.
A shame there isn't much to do (yet) with all of those pretty graphics. I'd rather have had a game look like the PS2 GTA games and still include the tons of sidequests/missions ala: Vice City or San Andreas.
