yes they are very sensitive, if you turn it left its going to go left faster then normal its not hard to get a hand on it but after you do get a hand on it and learn to fly it you will love the helos

What the game needs is a shoulder-mounted AA option for the anti-tank class. A big problem with AA in the game is the ineffectiveness of turrets. Pilots can unrealistically snipe people out with the machine gun from a million miles away or bomb it while the turret can't get a lock on and when it does, it too easy for them to drop flares and fly away. Plus a lot of the turrets are in horrible spots.

We have that fixed in the 21cw mod also. We have shoulder mounted as that is a pick up kit and you won't show up as a bombing target. Our igla's have dumbfire and lock ons so that you can hit the helos or planes without them knowing that you are there.

In 21CW every single vehicle is twice as fast as its Vanilla counterpart, you must have AA to have any chance of surviving.

If you dont have AA missles as shox said then there is no hope. We have pilots that will kill you in 3 seconds sometimes less. in 21CW to get into the Airforce you have to try out and we have alot of very good pilots for the helos and Fixed wing.

I was especially amused at one of their tests: you were positioned at one end of the course and another heli, the "instructor", was on the other side. He would ask you to stay stationary until he shot a TV, at which point you were to perform a barrel roll to dodge it. The entire thing was HILARIOUS.

Anyway, storytime is over kids... time for bed.

I was in BF2C and (still am at) 21CW.

The stingers in the chopper are a joke at 21CW. It's because most chopper guys can't tv so that put a handicap into the chopper.

The whole idea of having stingers in the chopper is retarded.. now all the bad chopper crews just try to rush you and spam stingers at you because we all know they can't TV.

Basically, for me, TV's are still the main source of shooting down jets.



And in that video it's just that glitch where your chopper/jet rolls erratically. It's server side. A restart of the server fixes it. I guess whoever was flying didn't realize that though..


And yes those tests are retarded and hilarious.




So basically coming from a jet, AND chopper whore...

AA in choppers = stupid.

If you can't TV a jet then oh well.. keep trying. Choppers can lay down a WAY bigger rape on infantry so it should be easy to be shot down. If there are no jets in the air you know how much you can destroy a team with a chopper... :laugh:

That is very untrue metal. We played for many campaigns without aa's on helos and may jets were shot down. We may not have "the best" tvers but we have guys like qoogla and woop that very rarly miss a shot on anything, a helo jet or anything else.

I see what you are saying but it's 2 missles it's not like we give the helos 6 missles if you can't roll at least one of those missles you shouldn't be in a jet.

Who cares about your mod, we wanted to see what would happen if AA missiles were introduced to vanilla BF2. We didn't ask for people to have to take a test to get in a chopper or get punished for being "AWOL" at the plane spawn.
