I find that PK rockets can be used as sniper weapon and can take out massive amount of enemies in choke points. That thing shoots far!
I've been able to out shoot snipers by strafe left and right [to avoid headshots] while firing and took out many average snipers this way. Of course I would be dead if I was going against many good snipers after the second rocket.
The Voss does shoots very far and accurate too without single fire.
Like I said before, single-shot baur is my favorite (and best) way of dealing with snipers. You have to wait a bit because of the sway, but I've gotten a lot of kills from careless snipers that way.
You're either getting a lot of lag or a performance issue. They work perfectly for me.
My system specs are fine dude. Its the game,so quit being such a fan boy.Plenty of people riddle me with a full clip and i dont die.It works both ways.Unless there is some sort of secret to killing people in this game. The reason i say alot of it is luck is because sometimes ill get on and when i aim at someone i actually hit and kill them, then in similar circumstances, even when i get the jump on someone and unload my whole clip on them they don't die.How is this considered skill?I know how to aim.Ive been gaming for a long time, and i am usually really good at every game i play.Ive given this game some time, thinking maybe i just needed to learn the gun better. But that is not the case.Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt and that is lame.Im not really into the spray and prey mentality,i like games that require skill, not dumb luck.

Maybe you do so terrible because your ego is bigger than your skill?
The netcode is terrible in Battlefield games. Add in the random deviation to all weapons, and you've got a game where infantry play is nowhere as close as COD's.

there are small discrepancies from server to server but the shooting mechanics in this game are pretty involved and do require a bit more practice than alot of other fps games mainly do to the moderately glitchy nature of this game.
there are lots of little things to do in different situations like when firing on someone with most weapons crouching up and down will help you out a little bit and doesnt hurt your accuracy and if done properly will actually HELP your accuracy and allow you to kill people a bit faster than you would just standing still. this also makes it a bit harder for your enemy to kill you because you are throwing your hitbox off a bit.
with the assault rifles there is a pretty definite amount of bullets you can fire in a burst and at how fast of intervals to kill an enemy with maximal speed and accuracy.
then firing on moving targets depending on your ping compensation you might actually want to aim behind people instead of leading your shots. you've probably noticed that you DO NOT lead your shots in this game. you aim RIGHT AT the guy no matter what and technically you should hit him.
i had 2 computers hooked up one time and i had bf2142 playing on both of them. i was watching both screens when i did something with one person i would watch from the other person's point of view. people do NOT see what you are doing at the exact time you are doing it. things are out of sync from person to person. you should try this if possible its kind of interesting and gives you good insight onto how things happen and how things might be laggy in a server. say you come around a corner and get immediately killed, its possible that your enemy was seeing you for longer than you beleived them to be. your soldier might not actually be where your view is. not exactly.
when i've wanted to get better at a game i would usually watch some videos of people that are good so i can try to emulate what they are doing so i can be more successful.
i havent played this game for 4-5 months but i did play a few matches over a few days really recently and the people i saw back before havent really gotten any better since i have been gone.
if you want to, i have a few videos (made them a number of months ago) you can watch that might help your shooting mechanics.

(i would watch #7, 8 or 9 because there is gun audio)
i have no idea what your skill level is but its worth a look i guess. im not saying i was THE BEST player at this game but i was definitely up there.
This is particularly true as the latency and server connection plays a big role in the damage mechanics.
My Krylov at British Servers kills the guy 2 seconds after the last shot was fired. [I wasn't spraying I was tapping] While in my clan's Chicago server based in North America; the guy dies before I empty 5 shots into him. I aim for the stomach region and slowly work my way up.
This is even more true for my TV missiles. In European servers; my TV missiles hit the target from the side 2 seconds after the target flew across my TV screen Square. It's like I nailed it by the shadow. Or it's like the actual image was actually 2 seconds later. Sometimes my TV goes through targets even when hit head on. This doesn't happen when I have a below 50 ping. I usually get 120 ping on European servers.
Now I ignore reality and compensate according to my ping.
Shooting someone who is running across horizontally is a bit difficult but like everything else aim ahead of them and click away.
this game is designed so you DO NOT have to lead your shots on moving targets. maybe if you have 125 ping or higher. if your ping is at or near 100 you want to aim right at them no matter what direction theyre moving. due to latency compensation you might even aim a little bit BEHIND them.
