They'd say no.................. Refunds are based on manufacturer warranties, which are based on actual problems/defects with the disc/game,,,,,,,,,,, not whether or not you enjoyed it....................
(Sorry,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I had to.................)
It is defective, the /record does not work and that was the only reason why some people bought the game (for competition). No /record = no competition. And they sure as hell don't care, or else they would have an emergency patch for it and other critical issues.

the lack of /record does not make the game defective.
Treyarch already acknowledged that it will be fixed in the upcoming patch.
Games do not live or die based on whether or not the competitive community plays them. I know some people believe other wise but when companies make games they make them for the average joe, not the hardcore competitive players. Sorry but that is reality.
Well you would get a refund they just take into account how long you had it and take of the amount, according to trading standards, been there with xbox360 issues.
They have a duty to supply a finished game and we have a right to buy a finished game.
being not able to join a co-op game or create a lan game is in my eyes a unfinished product.
and im not the only one there are thousands out there who cant do the same.
I know of one person in usa that has bought seven copys of the game to run a lan party it cost him about $350 dollers in doing so. and none of the different pc's will work in co-op mode or lan.
To me thats an unfinished game and alot of you out there are too scared to stand on your own two feet and say it.

Then ask for your money back. Im not scared because its working fine for me as well as thousands of others. Yet when those people say it works for them, they get shouted down.
It doesnt work, go get your money back. Im keeping my copy. See ya around.
Also, edit your previous post and put a comma in your last sentence. It makes you sound like you do know nothing.

Of course games don't live or die based on competition... but it sure as hell helps if they are competitive friendly. If a game is good enough, they are played in lan tournaments. The more tournaments the more hype the game has for potential players.
This /record issue has been around since October 28th. It is still not fixed. It is now December 17th with no known release day for the next patch. Furthermore (for those only interested in pubbing), the power server exploit has also not been fixed. Those two things are KILLING this game (or at least making many very frustrated). You don't think they would have a hotfix for those two issues? COD4 had hotfixes for various critical issues when they arose.
That is why the game is defective. Maybe it's just the people that are in charge, but either way... they definitely don't have QA or PR that Infinity Ward had

Totally agree with you on this.
And when playing matchs etc and you play against a cheater/hacker. the people at PunkBuster wont accept anything from Fraps etc, the only thing they will use as evidence is ingame recording which is not available.
and if a game is buggy and does not get the support it needs then the comunity will leave it like rats from a sinking ship. theres been plenty of game like that in the past. take "Medal of honour Airbourne" how many of you play that game now? or play clan matchs in it?
Fact of the matter Treyarch should never of made CODWAW. they should of left the idea to INFINITY WARD.
Can any of you recommend a good game from Treyarch?
the big red one? NO. COD3? NO. united offensive? NO. all they seem to do is spin offs, just to milk some more money thats all they are cared about.

COD4 had its share of issues in the beginning as well that required patching. CODWW is a bigger, more complex game with more features than COD4 and in the process of making it, Treyarch obviously introduced some new bugs and broke a couple things that were working in the past. That's unfortunate, but not unexpected.
The one thing IW did better was getting out an additional patch and map before Christmas last year, and Treyarch/Activision should've tried harder to get the v1.2 patch for CODWW out before Xmas as well. But IW made their fair share of mistakes too and are far from being the "golden-boy" developers that some people like to portray them as.
Alex is a no-********-smart-thinker. :salute::yay:
Seriously though you guys are cynical and annoying. You're ALWAYS complaining. I don't hear much good things about this game. Actually the problem is YOU guys. You're the ones making good servers bad with your martydoms and ****. It's also a SIN to have more then 30 players on ANY COD5 map. Or any Call of Duty game for that matter. If you guys are playing 24/7 Dome pub with 40 players on hardcore it won't take more then 5 minutes to throw the gmae in the trash.
While WaW does has its share of issues, there are far worse games out there. Seriously.
I made the mistake of buying Stalker:Clear Skies, i loved Shadows of Chernobyl, figured ya couldnt go wrong with the next one. WELL, they did. It is basically one ripe, rank, stinkin turd burnt to a DVD, full of bugs and horrid scripting, FULL of it. WaW is a dream compared to that piece of wet stinkin sh!t, lol.
[off topic]clear sky isnt that bad, just people expect too much of it, like what happend to far cry 2. and its another situation where people experience the game differently.[offtopic]
well, for me im avoiding WAW. I only have $90 to spare and i reckon if i have call of duty 4 i have call of duty waw, minus WW2 guns, tanks, zombies and co-op. other people may like it but they are free to their own opinion.
I would at least ask for a $30 refund, I went back to playing COD4. The weapons are better balanced, there aren't as many exploits, the maps have more atmosphere and frankly the guns sound like guns. I do have to say the bolt actions are the coolest part of CODWaW and while the MP40 and MP44 are suppose to be some of the better guns in game, they flat out just don't feel right because of the way they sound.
