What's up with all the crazy servers?

I was just on 2 different servers where one was giving 70 points per kill and the other 1000 points per kill.

Im starting to see more of these servers aswell, i know treyarch making the server configs easily changeable was a good move, but they should have limited it in places.

A friend of mine called and said he found a server where it was 5000 points a kill and everyone had ludicrous speed.

IMO they should have made the scoring completely uniform across all servers unless you have a mod installed. Seems pointless having a ranking system n all that if people can just go on a server which will boost them to the top after a couple of hours.

Correct on my last post. It wasn't 5000 points a kill it was 1000 points a kill and every one was moving fast.

Lol h4x. They made pres. to keep people from ranking up fast, but it seems it has backfired :P

You can change both the kill point value and game speed, gravity etc through rcon. You could do this in cod4 as well.

Theres a server that gives you 30xp every second its based on "WAR" game mode its a german server with only 4 slots and 2 private. you can get lvl65 rank in about 20 mins.
i am now prestige lvl10 kaching.

If you get disconnected or it reaches the end of the map you all need to reconnect to change the map.

I was going to post some news on this, but I was trying not to give it attention. Prestige means nothing now.

This was off of a fellow news site:

"Fast Rank Servers now make your XP go up even faster. There are some servers out there such as mine which you will gain 4 levels per kill, and almost 30 levels per dog kill.

When I first heard this, I thought this is a thing that never should have happened, and whoever is running a server for this is an *******. Then I thought this is the way in which we can get Treyarch to release a new patch sooner than stated. Patch 1.2 which is supposed to be released in January of next year may be coming sooner, due to this Exploit."

Um, I DO consider it lame, what is the point of ranks/prestige with something like this?

I went into one power level server that had 75 per kill and I was like, no way. Silly. Now this? In one night, you'll be at prestige 10.

Wrong speed and Gravity could be changed but you could not change the XP values without making your server unranked.

Yes there was a discovery posted on how to do this on servers you can change the value of everything in cod5 where as in cod4 these were cheat protected you could only use this if it was modded in cod:WW this does not work we can add that to another thing treyarch nerfed in this game
