Re: What Level in Zombies Did you get to in Co-Op?

I just finished the SP tonight and played a few rounds by myself in zombies...they scare me...and Treyarch of course added in a hysterical sounding laugh at the beginning of the level heh.

I didn't get very far though because I was trying to figure everything out. Definitely seems like fun though and I'll have to give it a try in co-op sometime.

I got to level 11 on my first try in singleplayer and then quit to try it on coop (only to learn that I couldn't find a zombie server that didnt have 250+ ping or passworded). Level 11 was quite easy IMO, just get the BAR and M1A1 and mow them down from the corner. I'd really like to try Coop, though. SP zombies just arent as fun.

Anyone had a problem with money? I notice when we play we seem to have plenty to go around once the killing starts.

In the beginning rounds with 4 players, money is a bit tight but once you get upto like level 10, the money starts to flow. By the time we lost, I was spending money every second and still died with like 60,000

Yeah, money is only sparse in the beginning. For the first 5 rounds, we just let the zombies in so that we get powerups and points for rebuilding the baracades.

Hmmm, let them in the first levels. Is that a good tactic? They are easier so maybe that makes sense and thats when you get powerups.

Might be a way to go.

I got to play coop zombies today and I made it to level 16. We didn't have a great team, and the only reason we lost was because someone opened the upstairs barricade and we got owned from behind. Then again, 3 of us did get ray guns by the time we died, so maybe that's why we did so well :P

Nice, get 2 more levels and you've made it as far as the devs :) Did you not open the upstairs, or is it better to retreat up there?

Stay downstairs! It works, I swear. The first guy with the ray gun covers the help room, then the rest cover the main room - each of whom should be continually trying to get the ray gun. If you end up getting backed into the help room, it's rather easy to hold. The one guy that was holding it before continues to hold the 3 windows, and the other 3 players cover the main door - essentially forcing the zombies to bottleneck through that entrance.
After you fend off that wave, rebuild all your baracades and move back to your original positions - wash, rinse, and repeat.

Interesting tactic. May have to try that one. Would certainly seem that it would make the raygun last longer that way, than if he was using in on the door.

With more space to run around in the Main room, 3 players might be better able to deal with that as well...maybe 1 covering the window by the bars/gate, and the other two dealing with the line of zombies coming from the far end of the room.

But once everyone gets backed into the Help room, it seems that someone always makes a little mistake, whether accidentally blocking someone at the door or in a corner, or letting in one zombie, and then things fall apart.

                        ..

I also have some theories that I've shared with Patton about 2-man teams, with 1 of them using the flamethrower...need to try it out with more people.

If you have a horrible person covering the help room though the plan quickly goes to ****...Near like stage 10 or 11 the guy in help room will need help ¬.¬

Yeah I haven't played it but with the videos I've seen the best way IMO is the following:

You need 4 guys for this one. You need to go upstaires by removing the couch, then down into the room with the random weapon box. From there, 3 guys need to cover the stairs coming down to you and 1 guy with a shotgun or an LMG needs to cover the window. This way you only have the zombies coming in from two directions, and the second is a handicap since they need to climb through the window which lets 1 guy be able to cut them down. Then when he's runnning low on ammo he switches and quickly gets a new weapon or more ammo.

                              Me thinks that'll work fine...

Haha yeah. I played it for the first time last night, and again we were on till 3am playing that thing :|

Most of the tactics discussed here are what we have done ourself. Certainly you need access to those special weapons. We managed to get to level 16 and that was with 3 guys using ray guns ^^

We thought going up stairs was a no no, but perhaps if some people say this is a good idea, then we should ?

Would be fun to play some rounds with other people from Total COD so ill add a few people to friends list
