Re: What Level in Zombies Did you get to in Co-Op?
Haha. Well one guy on our team was spanish and kept dying! Hes spanish, it must be his fault
It was silly things that kept getting us killed. Being too smart here or there.
Like Im supposed to be watching the wall, but i turn to the door to help a bit, then next thing zombs are munching our necks.
Or I am owning it up with a heavy MG and decide, a grenade? why not... Then one of my team runs in front of me and boom...
Certainly once you lose 1 man you almost always start lose it. Sometimes the old cliche "go on without me" is very true... you die so much trying to revive someone... best thing dont die... but only revive when 100% safe!
Re: What Level in Zombies Did you get to in Co-Op?
Basically once one guy messes up everybody dies trying to clean up his mess. I really think the best thing to do is all go to the help room but from the upstairs because it's easier to cover then the main entrance. If you're good and maybe have an MG42, FG42, Flamethrower or the ray gun then you can pretty much cover the stairs while the three others cover the 2 windows and the tunnel entrance.
Again I haven't played this but I'm seeing the pros and cons thanks to Youtube.
Re: What Level in Zombies Did you get to in Co-Op?
No you go upstairs then immediatly down into the help room. This way it takes longer for the zombies to get to you and they have less cover coming down the long staircase. So you have a say two guys covering the stairs and 2 covering the other 3 entry points.

Not necessarily true.
We go into the help room downstairs, than at level 17, we move upstairs from the help room and go into the cotrner where the grenades are. One person keeps checking nades at the door, one person covers the upstairs window in that room, and the other two just run in circles in the big opening where the nades are landing. The zombies cant kill you when you run around in circles, and the nades keep blowing them up. We got to level 21 doing this, but DAMN it is hard! lol
Re: What Level in Zombies Did you get to in Co-Op?
The basic strategy is to avoid opening up new areas to defend as long as possible, because this allows more ways for zombies to come in. If you have a good team, then you can actually alter this a bit, and open up the Help room early, because the reward of the extra weapons is worth it.
Eventually, IMO you have to open the upstairs. The "con", is that this will allow more ways for zombies to come in. The "pro", is that you have more room to move around, which I believe is a key to this mode.
Zombies can only go so fast...you can out-sprint them, and even walk backwards fast enough to stay ahead of them while your sprint recharges. Zombies are fairly easy to line up into a "train"...so if you are careful in where you stand, you can let them get close to you, then sidestep and sprint past the whole bunch of them. Turn around, kill a bunch of them, line them up again, sprint, turn, kill, etc. I've used this tactic a couple of times when I'm the last guy standing, in order to stay alive and wipe out the wave so that my dead team-mates can respawn (for those that don't know, if you have at least one guy alive at the end of a round, the dead players respawn again).
My flamethrower strategy involves the above...as long as you have a lot of room to move around and don't get pinned in a corner, you can set groups of them on fire, run away, and repeat. If you had a 2-man team, one with a flamethrower and one with a raygun (to protect in case you mess up), then I think it would help people get further into the higher levels. 2 teams of 2 players would also help split the zombies so that they don't all come from one direction.
I'm actually more comfortable when the whole level is open, so I can run upstairs and back down if I need to.
Try some of those out with the groups you play in, and see how it works. You'll need good voice-comms and people following instructions however, otherwise it's easy for someone to make a little mistake and start the dominoes falling in the wrong direction.

That's why I said you have to LINE THEM UP into a long train. Then you can just side-step and sprint by them, shooting any that get in the way. You need your back to a wall or to a boarded-up window to be safe enough to do this.
I like the Thompson as well...good rate of fire, plenty of ammo you can buy, and crosshairs group fairly close together so headshots are fairly easy if you stop moving for a second (which again you can do when you line up the zombies in a row). I also like the Browning, although you can't move as fast with it.
