Bunnyhopping has turned into such an instinct for most people that sometimes I see what I can do just to get a player to hop around. On Tampa I always see these guys that think they're clever by driving a jeep in behind your tank and hopping out, hoping to pilum you in the back for an easy OHK. I can see these guys coming nine times out of ten (the only time they get me is if I'm busy in combat with another tank or walker, or I get EMPed) because most of their victims apparently don't use the rear exterior cam, so when I see someone do this I'll usually just mess around with him. I pop shields, then rather than kill him I just blow up the car instead (had some instances where I failed to kill the soldier straight away and he drove off safely after not killing me). This generally prompts the guy to start jumping around like a dorkwad, and someone bunnyhopping while holding the Pilum looks hilarious. At this point it's up to me to determine the poor bastard's method of death; depending on my mood I may just run him over, but usually I go for the tank-shell-at-the-feet kill, resulting in one final bunnyhop of about 50ft.

And Skates, I have seen a server with NO rules at all, which was populated at all times.
So, basically, baserape for the win. It's war, you won't see the US playing "fair" in Iraq either. Losing can be fun at times as well. Some of the good times are when you get really owned in your own base that you just have to laugh at the situation you are in. It's a game.

FFS if you don't want to play with rules, then don't play on servers with them. No one's forcing you to play on them. If rules were so bad, then ruled servers would have died out a long time ago.

Neither does the krylov/Hachimoto/titan/x-componentofthegame.

The primary flaw of comparing life-warzone environment to that of a game is that... well, the difference is somewhat obvious. Using "x doesn't happen in real life" has no bearing on the rules imposed on what is a game environment largely intended to be "fun" for those playing. My view is, it's not a war, it's a game! In most games, there are rules.

So to those who wish to bring one to the other, feel free to enlist at your local army recruitment center and play by their "rules" if you wish :) If you bought 2142 (by all descriptive means a futuristic shooter) expecting life "rules" to be applied, then you bought the wrong game unless you are fortunate to find a server that panders to your requirements.

Wow, so you have seen A server with no rules at all that was populated at all times. I'm impressed. There are also over a hundred that are also populated that have rules. So your point is what? If the majority of players wanted no rules I would think that the number without rules would be greater than the number with. But at least you and Trooper have a server that you can play on without rules to make you happy.

I don't understand what is so difficult for people to understand. If you don't like the rules on a server, go somewhere else. It really isn't that difficult.

Server rules are like assholes. Every one of them seems to have one, there all different, and everyone thinks theirs is the best, and everyone else's stinks. I just ignore them all and play the game. Seems to work out pretty well. If I get banned, I get banned. Life's way to short to worry about whether or not I'm playing a game the way some one else thinks I should.

I was just thinking, "God, I wish the OP would edit the title of this thread already." I guess I can be a little anal about grammar mistakes sometimes. It doesn't help that I used to tutor English when I was in junior college.
