Today, the Official UK Playstation Magazine told its readership that they will be breaking the Call of Duty 7 secret to the world in next month's issue.
The Official PlayStation Magazine, goes on sale from May 17th.
The magazine points to an image of one of the pages from that issue and it may provide additional clues: image
There's been a few comments around the net that the 60's style grenade on the cover means that this means the game will be set in Vietnam, while other folks are pointing to so-called "M*A*S*H"-style fonts indicative of a Korean War setting.
The latter is not correct. The fonts are USAAF-style. The USAAF was the precursor to the USAF and they were around from 1941 through to 1947. This would indicate a slightly earlier beginning to the game...one that would take up right when WWII ended.
Given the news, this looks like Activision is giving Sony a turn to do some exclusive CoD-pwnage (y'all remember how XBox lorded over MW2).
