Re: games need more blood
I don't care about blood and gore unless it's necessary for the plot to work. Gore in BF2 would be pointless. It adds nothing to the game and would be maybe a weeks worth of wasted coding. A little red smear would be fine, but nothing overkill.
Horror games are the only ones i care to see excessive gore use in.Leave a comment:

Re: games need more blood
No you wouldn't. There are plenty of parents that don't care and would still buy it for their kid anyway. They are also going to be more obnoxious than the kids who actually have some parental supervision so you will get less kids playing the game but you would still get ones that are a pain in the butt.Originally posted by NeptuneYes. Blood would be good. Increased ESRB rating = less likely to run into whiny 11-year-olds.
As for more gore, I don't need it. If that is what it takes for a game to be enjoyable, then I think there are other issues going on.Leave a comment:

Re: games need more blood
As long as there's a "reduced gore" option I'm fine with it.
I don't really like gore in games and if I can I'll play without it... games don't get more enjoyable for me just because I get blood stains all over the walls... lol.
I don't mind gibs Quake or TF style but excessive blood and gore just isn't very pleasant imo.Leave a comment:

Right, I guess if there was a "no gore" option everyone would be happy. Nothing really wrong with gore, but it seems out of place in a fun arcade style game.Leave a comment:

Re: games need more blood
Apparently, you haven't played Brother in Arms Hells Highway, and Socom Confrontation. I was playing both and well Socom has blood shooting out for about 2 feet, each time you shoot them...
And well Hells Highway is so bloody it almost disgusting.
But yes I do agree bf2 needs more blood, instead they put in puffs of brown stuff when you shoot someone.Leave a comment:

You could select the "Reduce gore" option, then.
No, but it would be nice for blood and gore to be in good games.Leave a comment:

Re: games need more blood
I didn't find GOW's blood/gore that realistic anyways. It was more of their own style, not realism.
Besides, adding blood != makes a good game.Leave a comment:
