Re: CoD5 PC Beta?
I know. I ask myself that a lot. :|: I signed up there 3 months ago just for any bonuses, but never really visited the forums. But I've been sick as a dog all this week so I figured I'd kill some time and try to pick up some info on there.
I enjoy helping people out and giving them accurate info (which most people here also seem to appreciate), but I absolutely just hate the ignorance and utter stupidity of some people and get too involved in trying to correct it. But most of those idiots have no interest in learning, just spouting off their crap behind the safety of a screen. Meh, it's my own damn fault. I'll be glad once this Beta is out so I can kiss that place good-bye for good.

Yeah same, and it turns out my key was from that gamez.nl site.Originally posted by IwantcableNope. In fact, callofduty.com won't even load for me.
Anyway, from what I've heard if you register on the site (when it works) you're guaranteed to get a beta key. Is this true?Comment

Re: CoD5 PC Beta?
According to what JD said, everybody will be guaranteed a key whether or not you are a VIP.You will be required to enter a CD Key for the BETA, much like you will when you get the full game this November. These PC keys will be available to all registered users of CallOfDuty.com, including any new users who sign up after the PC BETA releases. These keys aren't intended to limit the BETA to a certain number of players; they are here to allow you to create these unique profile names for our Friends and Invites features.Comment

Re: CoD5 PC Beta?
Oh ok. That's just a special thing for Xbox 360 or PS3 themes. There are no special themes for PC except the wallpapers which can be found at http://www.firsttofight.callofduty.com/home (it shouldn't ask you for your code again). Midway down the page, click on the thumbnails to get the option of downloading a high res image.
That code has nothing to do with the beta. As long as you're signed up at callofduty.com you will get a beta key when it is released.
@Kodak, earlier this week gamez.nl said they would give out beta keys on Oct. 17 for the PC beta (you signed up by entering your email) - this is now closed. They have since emailed out codes for firsttofight.callofduty.com that simply gives you the M1A1 when the game comes out and VIP status on callofduty.com. It actually had nothing to do with the PC beta keys.Comment
