I had tried to fly a Hind at the beginning of the map, their apache blew it up while I was in.Then tried to fly the Hind again, their artillery smashed it.Then when I actually got it in the air someone was close and blew it up with an Anti-tank weapon.

And then if I get in their Abrams I'm bad :shakehead:

Well you know there are many servers with weird rules like:

    Don't bunny-jump!
    Don't jeep-jihad!
Don't get to the enemy's last base!
Don't use explosives and claymores near flags!
    Don't fly helicopters!
    Don't steal cars!
    Don't TK!
    Don't talk badly!
    Don't attack commanders!
    Don't win!
    Don't smoke,don't drink,don't don't don't....

(The above was a humorous representation of how things are becoming in BF2)
The rule that really did me in was "you're not allowed to glide/slow down in a jet in order to kill something" in Raging Angels... from this point on, I stopped reading and obeying server rules.

F*ck them all: war is Hell... and if you can't deal with it, go play with your Barbie dolls. F*ggots.

Yeah I know what you mean.Battlefield 2 is one of the games that is supposed to be realistic and yet you see the most unrealistic stuff happening there.People jumping like ninjas, spawn killing, destroying enemy vehicles with one shot, killing people with one shot or one stab while they have first emptied entire magazines on you...soldiers jumping from 50 cm high steps and getting hurt(wtf?),people loaded with machine-guns,anti-tanks guns, grenades and all kinds of weapons running faster than Olympic Games sprinters...APCs getting blown-up easier than a bullet can pierce a piece of paper...not to mention the cheats...

lol BF2 supposed to be realistic... It isn't, was never supposed to be thank god.

Where do people get their ideas that it's realistic! I swear, everywhere I go there's some dude playing BF2, if you ask him why he says "because it's realistic"

Woah, woah, are you trying to tell me that the soldiers in this game run too fast??? I can run faster than that while carrying 50 lbs! You really must be insane.

Everywhere is an exagerration (and I think you figured that out yourself)

But there are a few people I know play BF2 a lot at my school, if I go to some random party and video games come up in a conversation usually someone has at least played it some time ago.

And other various conversations across teh interwebz.

If I put the full combat load of a U.S. soldier/Marine on you, you wouldn't be running sprints like the BF2 troops. Well, at least until bullets started flying and you **** yourself. Then you'd run like an Olympian.
Just Interceptor with plates and a camel back with a weapon and pro mask is around 50 Lbs. Add in the water and MREs for 3 days along with cleaning kits, CPOGs, extra uniforms, lots of socks, bedroll, e-tool, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, you're sucking wind quickly. There is a reason the guys in the 18th Airborne Corps qual on 20ks every quarter. When I was in the 82nd I did a 20k every quarter with all of my battle-rattle + a 70 ruck. Go ahead, try it. Let us see how much it hurts to jump down four stairs and run for 200-500 meters for sprints. We're all waiting to see the video of you falling on your face. Don't make light of these things unless you've done it. It's easy for you to run in shorts and a little T shirt while wearing some Nikes. Try it with some Vibram-soled LPCs. You'll be singing a different tune.

                  Re: Yet another crazy rule

While I understand what you're saying, I still believe the soldiers in bf2 run slower than a real person can, even with all that gear.

                  I run like this: / (that's me)

So instead of using my legs to propel me forward, I use the weight of my giant head. Basically I fall forward and push myself back into the air with my legs, it's actually quite effective.

An object in motion tends to stay in motion, so really all you have to do is get yourself and your gear up to speed and the rest is just maintenance.

Also, cheese falls from the sky and hits my roof in the middle of the night.

Oh and if you wear platform boots you can walk faster.
