hehe, i've had my share of kicks/bans & hackusations from the same thing.

i recently got banned from the {TMM} server. Believe it or not it's my first banning, but I dont know why though...

Admins hate to be knifed. Once I knifed an admin I was kicked immediately, showing: "reason: smacktard" .... lolz

Not all of us. I just checked and with my main soldier I have been knifed 681 times, and never kicked a single person for it.

I wouldn't seriously consider banning you based on those stats alone. I imagine this isn't your first account either. 35 hours of play time with a near 5 K, all infantry. That makes it look more fishy. If you are some kind of amazing player. Well, I guess it can be lonely at the top.

he has been around a long time & is well known throughout the 2142 community. this is a new character plain & simple. a character shouldn't arise suspicion. we are all allowed 4 characters. does that mean that each of us would be viewed as cheaters for using 3 out of every 4 accounts? here's the primary soldier

not all servers are as well admin'd as yours

Whenever I'm in a squad with people who are new to the server and you ninja them, I usually try to encourage them by saying, 'Yep, that's moose. That's just what he does.' I kind of consider being knifed by moose as a rite of passage into BF2142 - almost an initiation or hazing if you will. You knifed my buddy Canuckles four times in one round yesterday. I try to tell him that when you're on the other team he has to listen carefully for the sound of the camo, because if he hears it being deactivated, it's usually too late.

Oh, well you may not recognise the name, but I'm WolfAlmighty. I'm usually whoring up the Moongamers 24/7 Tampa server, but when that crashes/isn't populated/is lagging like hell (which has been happening quite frequently lately :cry: ) I'll go to the NFB Gib server or the TRR server and get wailed on by the citymap folk. Don't worry, you've already got my tags at least a dozen times and I'm sure it'll be at least a dozen more before all is said and done. Messfeeder got them a week or so ago too so I'm content in being the BF2142 pincushion.

that is what I did on there server I knifed the admin aswell and I get kicked for aimbot. wtf with this clan anyways they just cant take a stab

Oh, well you may not recognise the name, but I'm WolfAlmighty. Well that's because you have only gotten them once (so far :p )! I think in total I've only played two rounds on the same server as you so it's a small sample size, but even that was enough for you to shank me once. :laugh:

Oh great, as if you needed more motivation to stab me! :laugh: I'm already jittery enough when I know you're on the other team. You have no idea how close I've come to blasting cloaked teammates into tomorrow if I don't see their blue nametag straight away.

Oh well, guess I'll be making an appearance in the knife thread soon! :salute:

Which is why I used the word considered.

Again, you have to look at it from a server admin perspective. How does he know how many accounts the person has? And while his main does look much less suspicious there are still some stats that might raise an eyebrow.

The admin's job is to do their best to insure a non-asshat, non-hacker environment for those on their server. Most don't have the time to do a 5 hour background check on everyone who looks suspicious. It's safer to just ban them. If there a hacker good; if there not, oh well they can find another server. I'm not saying it's fair or that all admins do their job properly. It's just a reality.

OT:Out of curiousity Field, how do you have ~45% accuracy with the assault rifles? Do you use single shot only? As far as I know the BF series always have a random cone of fire which makes the accuracy well...hit and miss. What part of the body do you aim at?

I admin the 50K servers in Europe which are notably popular. To an extent I agree and empathise with what you're saying, but as somebody who has suffers and still suffers (not just with new accounts) over-zealous trigger-happy admins not being able to accept a better player, I try and be as understanding as possible concerning high-scoring players regardless of rank. I play for the UK team so I know most of the good players by at least name and anyone I don't recognise instantly I generally give the benefit of the doubt to at least until I've had some time to perform some quick background checks.

I know your "5hour background check" is an exaggeration but it doesn't take much for an admin to perform a quick player alias look-up on pbbans for example (find out how many GUID's they've used, or better still if they've been caught). Looking at stats I agree can only tell you half the story. Admining in game then of course it's quite obvious to spot an aimbotter from a good player. At worse case scenario where there's a lot of complaints and I can't dig up anything on the player, then can always take some admin action with the comment of saying "sign up to our site to contest this" and finding out about them from that.

The large part of the problem stems that most admins are just normal everyday players who come on their server to have fun and simply cannot tell the difference between a ridiculously good player and a cheat. It's not anyone's fault but misunderstandings genuinely do happen and for that I agree with why for the benefit of the server, they should take action, however it's also unfortunate that a large portion of said admin's deal with the aftermath very badly with an element of "I know better because I'm an admin". The guys field has presented us with here being prime example. That's moreover the reality of it. Plenty of Euro servers I know of with decent admins though (GQ for one, I went on with a random account and did very well, and despite people complaining and even someone on my own team leaving, their admin gave me the benefit of the doubt as being "a good player") - it's just finding the good ones and staying on them that's the key.

And on your OT point - field has some videos you can watch which to some extent will show you his abilities and habits as a player (granted this will be somewhat watered down because of drop in FPS etc) - however I've started several new accounts and don't find it difficult to attain a 45%+ accuracy with most assault rifles - and you don't need the rockets to inflate the average either. Field may or may not agree but in my experiences past the time we've played (around 1800hours... bloody hell...) - it sort of comes naturally.

Scarier stats are haXy^'s (German national team player) and I believe that's his first account :s - I can't imagine the flak he took when he played on public servers, although we had RedhammerZ and triggy69 (French NT players) on our gib server the other week and the amount of carnage they caused... well... watching server chat was interesting to say the least.

lol I remember I killed redhammerz in BF2 once, I got so happy because I mean he demolished the whole server I might even have a saved screen of it somewhere...
