that was another thing i was talking with someone from =SOC= mostly crap rdx spammers but this admin was telling me that he was trying to get screenshots of me but was coming up with a black screen every time and i am completely clueless as to why something like that would be happening seeing that the only thing i have modified is the ping compensation in the program files by like .03 i mean wtf is wrong with my stuff where oddness like this occurs?

if i am not hacking how can he ban me on something he sees in a screenshot?? I even post my videos and he says that he watched some and he still says i am banned WTF this actually makes me kind of mad how stubborn he is.

Black screen shots can be caused by any number of things, the most common of which is a video card driver that doesn't agree with PB. None of the AC sites like PBBans or Punksbusted will accept Black SS as proof of a hack. Also, an aimbot itself will not show on a PBSS. If someone is using a cross-hair hack that places a dot on the screen, or an actual cross where the center of the cross-hairs are, that will show up.

I would as for him to at least send you the SS in question, if you really feel like pursuing it. However, that is probably a waste of your time. It sounds like he doesn't want you around, couldn't come up with anything on you, and so he used that as an excuse for banning you. I have seen SS of you, as we often have the auto SS running on our servers and we will review them from time to time. I have never seen anything on your PBSS that is not normal or would indicate a hack.

Also, him saying that changing your Latency Compensation is cheating is a load of crap. Evenbalance has said that there is nothing wrong with changing your Latency Compensation or your Interpolation Settings. Anyone can do it by opening up the console and changing it there. EB has even gone so far to say that programs like Hitfixer that automatically adjust those settings based off your ping are fine to use as well. So that guy has nothing to stand on there and really should do a little more research.

However, from that kid's posts on their forums, I don't think you will get anywhere so I would just move on.

omg im on some other server just a bit ago and mainly this guy named NxS CdubYa is all up in my grill sayin "get a refund on your hax you noob" and stuff like that and im killing him and FathAD and calling them crap and hes just totally persistent with the hackusations and then we get capped out and im the last person left and i mow 2 of them down with a baur in cc and then Fathad comes at me with a (lol) knife and i kill him with 4 bullets to the crotch with the rest of my clip and then some other guy shoots me and one of my teammates is all like "die hacker" to ME. Lately its just been an epidemic of foolishness

Yeah thats how it is if you're a good player on a server full of good players everyting is fine but on a server where you own expect to be called names and see a lot of kick votes againts you.

It's O.K field, I had one of those moments last night.

Was playing on a random Spanish server (since all other Euro conquest servers were dead to the world) at about 3am. I was doing reasonably well, ended the round 71-12 and a long way in front of anyone else, however one of the enemy was convinced I was cheating and made every effort to spam so in game chat. The best part was he's a national team player for Spain, who Team UK have played before in a fair few games. Didn't recognise me and got very upset at having his *** handed to him multiple times.

Shortly after the game, I was kicked for teamkilling, and oddly enough I found it impossible to rejoin. Hmmdi... They also banned my clanmate in the same round for walking round with a ganz at close quarters and destroying them

But with PB screenshots, a lot of people including some server admins just don't understand what they're looking at. I've seen people banned for screenshots that look "too zoomed in" or for having a weird crop. I'm guessing there's a serious lack of RTFM lately.

oh and btw i bet you dont know this, that the Latency Comp came from a leek on a bf2 hack, i bet u didnt know that! i would show you the Screenshots but i forgot to save them to my pc, and they got over written by other people playing in our servers.

So he's banned you based on evidence he doesn't have. Guy seems like a tard to me. And as skates rightly says, pb and evenbalance have always regarded usercon tweaks as legitimate methods to enhance your own gameplay despite the majority of instances that it's used it causes a placebo effect more than any actual tangible difference. Latency comp was written into the netcode setup by the developers, not edited in as some kind of hack.

TBH field, I'd say give up on it, plenty of other servers out there that have far smarter people admining them.

I heard that Vista sometimes can cause problems with PB screen shots?

For someone who doesn't know Field, I can imagine that his stats are fascinating, to say the least (Voss 50% accuracy)...

One comfort for me, I'm far superior with the knife lolz, which also caused me lotsa kicks as the admins always seem to run into my knife, them stupid n00bs...

hehe, i've had my share of kicks/bans & hackusations from the same thing.

field, if i'm understanding you correctly, it sounds like you're not sure what a pb screenshot is. basically it's a screenshot from your view, (first person) which shows everything on your screen. coulnd't put it better than skates, in that there are a ton of reasons why a screenshot would show up black. it's not all that uncommon. as far as the NxS guys, i've seen them too. they're usually better than most, so when you handed their (_o_) on a platter, they started screaming hacks...lol. btw, did you see that one guy on =NfB= the other day? he kept calling you a hacker & for an admin to check you out. it's just something that's going to happen anytime you meets new noobies:p

i've seen those screenshots that show zoomed images. we came across one about a year ago of one of our regulars. it was a ganz close up w/ all this blue around it. you know how it has that pop up scope w/ a blue tint? it didn't show anything out side of the blue color. after investigating, we found out that the players resolution has something to do w/ the pic. i forget the ratio, but we were able to recreate the same thing. so it's something that can & will happen.

This is why you will be kicked. Whether you hack or not (I don't know you, so I have no opinion) when someone looks at this account it screams aimbot to them. Whether they have proof or not doesn't matter. They'll just assume that PB can't detect the hack. Were I server admin, I would be lying if I said I wouldn't seriously consider banning you based on those stats alone. I imagine this isn't your first account either. 35 hours of play time with a near 5 K, all infantry. That makes it look more fishy. Again, I'm not accusing you of anything or trying to imply something. But you need to understand how that looks to most people.

If you are some kind of amazing player. Well, I guess it can be lonely at the top.

Whenever I'm in a squad with people who are new to the server and you ninja them, I usually try to encourage them by saying, 'Yep, that's moose. That's just what he does.' I kind of consider being knifed by moose as a rite of passage into BF2142 - almost an initiation or hazing if you will. You knifed my buddy Canuckles four times in one round yesterday. I try to tell him that when you're on the other team he has to listen carefully for the sound of the camo, because if he hears it being deactivated, it's usually too late.

But this thread is about Field's problem, so that's enough out of me. :salute:
