Re: Got banned by Punkbuster
Let them open BF2CC, choose File, Export and Export Ban List. Now the have all manual bans as backup. Then they can edit your out and/or re-download Punksbusted banlist. And they can just copy-paste this backup list back to pbbans.dat list if they want to but I suggest to keep them separated.Comment

Re: Got banned by Punkbuster
Bought my new cd-key for £4.49 and i'm on playing fine :)
I believe i was the target of a hacker using the recently found "ban any user" exploit. Luckily, GSP's have prevented all ranked FTP access so this shouldn't happen again :)Comment

Re: Got banned by Punkbuster
I think has happened to me
I was on SCABB Oman, which is normally quite reasonably admined. Then suddenly I saw myself being banned with no reason being given other than a sad face : (.
This was about a month ago, and I still can't join the server.Comment

Re: Got banned by Punkbuster
First you should check if the server streams with PsB and/or PBBans. When a server streams with Punksbusted and/or PBBans the banned GUIDs are stored in the server's pbbans.dat file. If they stream you should check if your GUID is banned. If you were banned in PsB and/or PBBans then you were using cheats.
To remove the ban from the pbbans.dat file the admin has to login using the RCON console or just execute the necessary RCON commands from BF2CC command line to find/clear an specific banned GUID and then execute the command to update the ban file (pbbans.dat).
If they aren't familiar with RCON they need to read this:
These bans are different from bans executed from whithin BF2CC.
The ban can be cleared easily by executing: PB_SV_UnBanGuid <GUID>
Then the pbbans.dat file must be updated with the pb_sv_updbanfile command.
The GUID is a 32 alphanumeric unique code associated to a single CD-KEY. It's different from the CD-hash shown in BF2CC.
You can check what is your GUID by joining a PB enabled server and typing in console pb_myguidComment
