Project Reality v0.8 will be released via FilePlanet.com on Friday the 29th of August, 2008. The full public release will follow on Saturday the 30th of August, 2008.

Also, you can download it for free from FilePlanet wich i am now doing.

Rhino can probably explain why they are doing it. There is a reason behind it mate

I see a UK FilePlanet mirror already has the levels pack up. The mod core file should be showing up on the UK server soon. Takes a little longer to transfer files over seas.

No, you don't have to pay to download the files. You are just put in queue if you don't have a subscription.

In regards to people calling PR "sellouts"...there was no money involved at all.

Unfortunately the v0.8 release came at a bad time since the Warhammer Promo must stay at the top for a little while. It will be promoted under that and at the top of the Battlefield tab sometime today.

The FilePlanet download manager continues to reset my download. It'll get up to 1.5 MB downloaded and then start over. Can't figure out for the life of me why it's doing that.

That happens when the server is overloaded or the load balancers aren't operating correctly.

Just out of interest, why is there a FilePlanet "exclusive" for a free mod?

Surely you want a wide distribution and there isn't any monetary benefit for PR?

In fact, the only benefit is FilePlanet getting traffic.

My exact thoughts. And if there wasn't something going on, why would they ban without warning users questioning it?
