reminds me of always getting kicked out of ISI christian servers when they ran 2142 servers. even for saying arse. of course you can curse all you want through VOIP and that's fine. i didn't mind their bible quotes server messages but language filters suck and never work as intended.

According to the box you have to be 16+ to play the game. Why are server owners setting these ****ing stupid language rules. AAAAAAHHHAHAHAHHAHAHA!!

Well people shouldn't be saying things like |)amn on public servers where kids under 13-14 play. You'll all say "Well that's not a very bad word", yet it is, you're just so used to it.

I don't think people should swear (Even though I do it, but not as much as some people I know ). If you want to, type it, then backspace till it's deleted, this way you wrote it but not everybody has to see :p

Edit: BTW what's wrong with people raised in the '30s?? Besides the fact they had manners unlike 90% of Earth.

With today's ways of life, there's no real point in trying to set examples for kids. I cuss like crazy, and am definately not dumb, its a matter of attitude and what you're used to. And it shouldnt bother anyone, so lang filters dont make sense to me.

And that about sums up everything that is wrong with that generation. It's the "You have to accept everything about me" attitude. "If it doesn't bother me it shouldn't bother anyone else." Going back to my previous statement, it comes down to maturity and also having just a small amount of respect for those around you.

Maybe it's more of a maturity level than an intelligence level. If you really feel the need to express your frustrations by typing a bunch of crap, whether you are swearing or not, to 30-60 complete strangers in a game on the internet, you need to grow up a little.

Please don't try to turn this into a "Free Speech" argument. Obscene speech is not covered under the First Amendment to the Constitution. There have been plenty of court cases to support that fact.

Flat-out the most uneducated and ignorant excuse someone can make to pretty much yell and do anything on his mind to whoever he kills just because it's a war game. I don't mind someone exclaiming "Oh ****!" when he runs into unexpected trouble - aside from that, I dunno. My idea of fun doesn't exactly correspond to getting teabagged and told I suck by whichever bloke who just shot me down. To me, a great many people use the game's premise just to be an *******, and for that, I regard Battlefield as having one of the worst-minded communities I've seen in my life.

I agree 100% with you Skates but I grew up with a different generation having been born in the late 40's, in school in the 60's and serving during the Nam era. Your wasting your time arguing with this clown as he has no concept of what your trying to convey. Gotta love the effort........keep up the fight.
